MOVING DAY!!!!!!

So, I am up at 3:27 am...again. Leah's been doing crazy things still at night. It's been super rough still. New baby is moving around like crazy when I am up at this time to. Hoping she is getting her night time feedings out now and won't wake when she is born. What is the odd's of that happening..or let me rephrase our child sleeping through the night before 4 years old...pretty much zip to none!! Anyway, guess what! We are moving to our new house today!! After 10 months of living with my mother it's finally moving day!!! We closed on the house on Monday and Dave painted Thursday and Friday. I went over yesterday cleaned the bathrooms and most of the kitchen. Dave updated electric and small things he had to do around the house after work yesterday. Now, finally that day has come to move. I am so excited. That fun part is I get to just direct where to put things this time around. I have moved us in and out of 5 houses busting my butt on each one and this time around I get to stand there and say..put it there!! So fun!! Of course, I will be unpacking boxes which I know I can't get out of. But, I will be excited to see our stuff again. I will post pictures whenever I take them of the newly painted family room and Haley's room. We decided we are painting Leah's room and new baby's room. Not sure what color yet. We are thinking a yellow for Leah..because she's not a girly girl. I don't imagine her with a pink room. New baby, I'm thinking a dusty rose. I think she will be a girly girl. Haley's room is a lilac. I promise to post pictures soon. Moving Day!!!! WAHOO!!!

Alien Abuction of my youngest child..why didn't they take me to?

I know that is a funny title I just came up with but, I almost feel like that is what has happened. My frustration with Leah's sleeping is turning into pure desperation. At 30 weeks pregnant today, I am so frustrated with my non-sleeping 2 year old that I am trying to find any excuse why she is doing this. Leah was a great sleeper up until 4 months old. That is probably when the abduction happened I am calculating. She began teething and the sleep issues started. She was getting up at least 1-2 times a night for a bottle, then around 1 years old this madness started. She would wake up for hours upon hours. Letting her cry it out, no does not work. I have tried it but for my kids they just get worse and worse and worse till they are on the verge of throwing up. So, I get Leah out of her crib then bring her downstairs let her watch TV for 30 mins and head back up. Normally, that works. She will talk for about 20 more mins then go back to sleep. Not recently. She has been up for 3 hours or more. I cannot physically handle being up anymore for that period of time. I start to feel physically ill. This situation just sucks! Even if she doesn't take a nap during the day, she is still awake in the middle of the night. We have had very very few nights of sleeping through the night. When she does sleep through the night, I think OMG is something wrong that is how few the nights are. I feel like this is just not normal. I have mental breakdowns in the middle of the night b/c of this. I never thougth in a million years that Leah would be a worse sleeper then Haley was. Haley was bad, but not this bad. She was up like Leah but not as frequent. I just feel like my life sucks so much in the middle of the night. I am normally so tired that I have to drink coffee. I never drink coffee while I am pregnant..but it's came down to this. It's ridiculous. I make sure I drink a ton of water throughout the day to make up for it. If it can..but anyway. Along with the sleeping issues, some of you know of Leah's developmental delays we are definitely concerned about. Her language is at the age of 12 month old. She is slowly saying words, but won't say them consistently. She babbles in her own language all day long. No one can understand 1 word she says. Its about 1 word every 300 I think we understand. That is not normally at this point. We are also concerned for her social interaction with others. She is never around kids her own age, so I hope this will change if I can get her into some sort of kindermusic or preschool. We have had her evaluated by Help me Grow and Fairhaven. They have found delays in fine motor and language. She is already going to speech therapy 1 time a week for 30 minutes. She qualified for 2 day a week preschool at Fairhaven but there is a waiting list. They suggested us getting her evaluated for occupational therapy at Children's Rehab and Physical Therapy. Her speech teacher said she doesn't need physical but she will get the evaluation going for occupational. Alot of the reason her fine motor skills are low is b/c of her language isn't there. The is also what the Fairhaven speech therapist said. If we could get her language going then her fine motor will improve. As for social behavior and interaction, we are on the fence. I was very concerned about autism with her. She doesn't turn toward her name more then 50 % of the time. That was a big concern of ours from 1 year old and beyond. She seems to be getting better and listening better, but still not where I think she should be. My Ped dr said in his heart he really thinks she is just delayed. She is not the normal child, that she is developing at her own pace and they she will be just fine. I trust him, I have know him for over 25 years, but he only see's her for what 10-20 minutes every 4 months. It's so hard to believe it. So, he referred us to Akron's children's for our piece of mind. I am still waiting and it's been a month to hear from them. I will calling them AGAIN to see what is going on. The help me grow lady is helping me to get in contact with them to. We are still on the fence on what we are doing with Leah. We are trying to our best to help her but it's so hard. We are both so tired. Dave is working 10 hour days..plus 2 hour drive. I am just exhausted from the horrible night with Leah and working on top of that. I will be quiting though my job. It's been a huge issue with Dave and I. I really like working. I like getting out of the house for those 5 hours every other day, but we think it's getting WAY to much for my mom to handle. Especially when the new baby comes, it will be to much. I just HATE to tell them I am quiting. I work with a really nice group of people. I was so lucky to find this job and to have such great people to work with. You honestly don't find that often enough. My supervisor is one of the greatest supervisors I have ever had. She never thinks any question is stupid and is always helpful. I just am so sad to have to quit. Dave has given me grief almost from day 1 of starting this job. It's really hard to enjoy something so much and then getting the grief when I come home. He just doesn't understand why I want to work. I just don't want to get back in the funk again of being a stay at home mom and that is all I do. I don't have a hobby but reading or watching soaps haha. It seems like everyone has something on the side, but me. It's hard, but I will get over it. I probably have another month and half left of work. I just have to get the courage to quit.

This felt great to write all this. Thank you for reading it and listening to my crazy alien abduction theory. I know it's insane but you come up with things out of desperation haha.

Leah's New Big Girl Furniture

After probably about 5 or 6 different trips to furniture stores we finally found Leah's big girl furniture! I'm so relieved. We debated getting another crib with a toddler bed, but decided that was silly, she would only be in the crib for maybe another 6 months. Then decided on a toddler bed, but thought why spend 1/2 the money for a toddler bed why not just get a real bed for her. Then we decide on a daybed, but quickly realized how much more expensive they were. So, finally decided we would get her the whole sha bang! A bed, dresser and chest of drawers. So, here is it. We went to Goldstiens, Dotson's, DWF, Sheely's, Goldstiens Outlet and finally Ashley's Furniture where we found her furniture. There was an awesome sale going on so we got it yesterday. I love it. We were first looking at a creme colored set but then I saw this one and fell in love with it. I love it. It's different then Haley's set to. We are a little nervous though about transitioning her. She's so young still, but I honestly think she'll do okay once she gets use to it. We are defintely going to have lots of bed rails up and it will pushed agaist the wall at first. I'm excited to get it. We are hoping to time it right after we move into the new house so we won't have anything in Leah's room it will just be all set in an empty room.

Haley's Valentine's Day Party at Preschool

Haley had her Valentine's Day party on Thursday since they don't go to school next Monday. The parents were allowed to come 45 minutes before class was over. I helped pass out Haley's Valentine's to each of her classmates. Then we opened them and went to chapel with them. It was really neat seeing her so excited over them. We started writing them in Jan and she wrote everyone's name and her name on all of them. She choose Princess theme of course this year. Amazingly enough, there was no duplicate Valentines! She made an extra special one for her "special friend" Herb-Alix. She tells me almost everyday she is going to marry him. It's that serious of a relationship I guess. Her father and I are a bit worried she is falling to soon lol. She showed the approporiate affection toward him by running to him and hugging him, trying to pick him up and toppling over twice while I was there. This was of course right in front of his father. We are a bit worried about that kind of behavior haha. At least he says he'll be her friend again. She was so upset when he went a little weird on her for a couple of months, and now all of sudden said he would play with her again. BOYS! I told her they are all like that! lol

Working hard on this hair thing.

For many months, Leah has been working on growing some hair and I think finally she's done it! I was able to put pig tails in her hair on Thursday. She looked so cute. We went out to lunch with my college friends Lisa and Stacie so it was the perfect opportunity to try them out. Love them!!! I think she looks so cute.

Morning fun!

Haley was being crazy this morning. She wanted me to take pictures of her and her new Polly Pocket. Daddy bought her a special toy yesterday when we were out shopping for Leah's new furniture. Which, btw, we have not found yet. I love my crazy Haley!!!

Rocking the head band

Leah got some really stylish outfits for her birthday and this outfit was one of them. Aunt Jaime got her this cute outfit with a rocking head band! I was so surprised she let me put it in and she kept in till later today. I thought she looked soooooo cute!!

Half-time

Last night we let Haley stay up to watch the Half-time show. She begged even though she had no clue who the Black Eyed Peas were. She danced around like a crazy elephant girl! It was so funny. We are so strict on bedtime. Leah is normally in bed by 7:45 and Haley right after that when her book, teeth, and nightgown are on. So, this was a great treat for her to stay up with Mommy and Daddy.

28 weeks 4 days

Here I am at 28 weeks and 4 days. Things are going well still. I had my glucose test last monday and I go back for the results on Valentines Day. So far so good. Baby girl #3 is moving around like crazy. She seems to move around most in the middle of the night when I'm up with her big sister Leah. She is just crazy little kicker. The one thing I have noticed lately is that she likes to kick when I am laying on my side and she kicks on the side. It's so weird. I don't remember either girls doing that. I love how each of my pregnancies have been so different. Thankfully, I have had good ones..so far!!!

Guess who counted to 7 today???

Guess who counted to 7 today!! Miss Leah Grace :) I always point at things and count them for her. Well, I was pointing to Haley and her princess chair counting the 3 princess on the chair. She pointed at them and mumbled baby as she pointed to them. Then all of sudden she belted out 1,2,3,4,5,6,7..and possible more but Haley was talking as she was saying the numbers. Mind you they were pretty muffled, but I defintely could understand what she was saying. She says words very few and far between, so this was wonderful!! Sorry about the fuzzy picture. She moves so much and when she smiles she is always moving. I still love the picture though.

Braid

Haley wanted to wear a braid just like her friend Luca from dance class last sunday. Luca had a braid in just like Rapunzel in Tangled. Haley got her hair cut a few weeks ago to, we got 3 inches taken off. I love the length. It's perfect now for her to wear her hair down. It falls just right. She hasn't really wanted anything done to her hair since she got it cut. She is now dressing herself in the morning, brushing her hair, and feeding her fish ever morning when she wakes up. She is so indepedent now. I love she can do all this herself. It will help me out so much when new baby comes.
