Still my baby

I took a picture of Haley today before I woke her up from her nap. She looked so peaceful and looked like a little angel baby sleeping. It was so cute how she had her arm up by her head. It just reminds me she's still little even though she's growing up so fast. In less then 2 weeks, she'll be three years old! I was so excited today I found her plates and napkins for her animal party at Dollar Tree! I didn't have to spend an arm and leg on party stuff like I have in the past. I went to two Dollar Tree's looking for plates, and ended up with 1 pack, but my mom got more at her Dollar Tree. All I can say is I love Dollar Tree!!!

Haley and her prince

Haley said that this was her prince charming last night..her giraffe. I think we can live with that for right now. If it was a real boy, I think we would be having some problems haha.

Silly

Haley was being pretty silly after her bath on Thursday. She wanted me to take picture of her on the stairs. Who knows why! I wanted to take a picture of her hair. It's getting so long. I want to compare her hair from now and then from last year at this time. It's grown so much. I had to cut her bangs again tonight b/c they grow like weeds! I think after Lisa's wedding we might try trimming her hair at a salon or something. So, it can get evened up a little bit. I'm really wondering if she'll sit though or be scared. We'll see!

Shake, Shake, Shake

Haley has learned to shake her hips. I'm hoping it's from dance class. She's so cute and wants to do it all the time now. This is also 1 of her 2 Halloween shirts for this year. I got this one at Target. I thought it was so cute. She refused to wear her Hallween hair box that I bought her at Target in the $ aisle. She's also playing with something that came with one of our secret projects we have been working on for the last week. I can't reveal what it is yet, b/c it's a surprise. You'll see. It's came out great to and I'm very proud of myself :)

Halloween Magnets

I came up with a fun idea and craft project for Haley to do last Sunday. We had bought these wood cut outs that are shaped in the Halloween shapes. I let Haley paint them and then I made them into magnets for the fridge. She had such a fun time doing it. I then put her name and date she made them on the back so I will remember. I even bought myself something to paint to. I haven't gotten the chance to do it yet though. I have been really keeping myself busy while Dave has been gone and it's good. The days are going by really fast. Soon it will be Oct 1st and mom will be here!

Long Day Friday

Friday we spent all day with Emily and Lindsay. She needed help getting her Durango from the shop so we came over early to have the girls and play and then go and get the car. Well, it took much longer then expected. The part wasnt' in and instead of being done at 2:30 it was done at 5. I didn't mind to much other then having to drive home in rush hour traffic. It took me an hour to get home. We had a good time though. The girls played well other then Haley hitting Emily. Yeah, I have no idea what happened, but they were playing in Emily's room and Emily started to cry. We went up there and she said that Haley hit her and Haley confirmed it. I was so upset. I know she's only 2 but that is not something we teach her to do. I told her to never do it again. Emily was fine and they played after that. I guess its another thing kids do.

Va Beach

Last Thursday, Haley and I went with Marna and Abigail to the Va Public Beach to walk on the boardwalk and let the girls play on the jungle gym in the sand. They had such a good time. It was one of those parks you could get a blanket and relax while they ran around. They played so well together to. I'm so glad that they are all getting to a point they can play with each other without fighting over toys and stuff. Marna and I got to catch up. We hadn't seen each other in over a month. Abigail is still tiny! She started preschool 2 weeks ago, so I was seeing what she was learning. It was such a nice day to. It was only like 78 degree's! Perfect weather. We have been waiting for these days to play outside. I have been trying to do more outside to wear Haley out for naptime and bedtime. It really seems to be working to! She did start waking up for the last three nights ( not last night) and said there were bunnies in her dresser. She was scared of them. I think that is a phase though. It seems like everytime Dave leaves she acts up with her sleeping. I'm starting to see a little bit of pattern. I think she'll soon get over it though b/c he'll be gone so much within the next few months.

Halloween Stamp fun!

I feel like it's been a while since I have posted anything. I guess it's only been a week. I have been slightly obsessed with a new series of books Linsday and Gina recommended to me (Thanks girls!) I have read 2 books in less then 72 hours..yeah, pretty bad!! It's called the Twilight Series by Stephanie Myers. If no one has heard of it, it's a 4 books series. It's about a human falling in love with a vampires. I know it sounds strange, but I'm a big Harry Potter fan and it's very close to the spectra of magic there, but on the other end with the magical creatures. I love reading good books, so I highly recommend these if anyone is looking for something to read.

But anyway! I went to Target with Lin and Emily on Sunday and we decided to get some fun Halloween things. Of course, I had to stop at the dollar part (my favorite part of T) and I got Haley a set of Halloween stamps. She loves them. She has been playing with them for the last 3 days. This is her actually paying with my Valentine Day's stamps. I just saw that. Opps, haha. I think my pregnancy memory is really getting to me.

Outer Banks and Kill Devil Hill's weekend getaway.

This weekend we decided to do a spur of the moment trip. I had a brillant idea when I woke up for us to just drive the Outer Banks. We haven't ever took a family vacation or even been able to go on a honeymoon. All of our trips are to Ohio and back. That is not a vacation for me, it's more like work running around to near exhaustion normally. So, anyway, I knew it wasn't that far away. So, I called up my neighbor and she was willing to let Jersey out for the day. We booked a hotel room online and we were off. It was a beautiful drive down there. We went all back roads. We were going to take a ferry over to the Outer Banks, but missed it by a 1/2 hour and didn't want to wait another 2 more hours for the next one. So, us being navagational experts we are, found another way to get around the ferry and a toll road. We looked at the map and found the unlabeled "gray" road. We are that good! haha. So, we made it down there in about 2 1/2 hours b/c of our little detour to the other ferry. We found our hotel and headed out to the beach. We stayed out for about 2 hours. The water and sand was beautiful. Haley had such a fun time playing. We had to be in the water the whole time b/c it was so stinkin hot! We went to the pool afterwards. We looked and looked for a shower to clean off and couldn't find one. Well, the next morning we found it. Anyway, we swam for a while and then got ready for dinner. We went to the Port a Call restaurant. Haley's behavior was great until then. She didn't sleep on the way to the hotel, so she didn't have a nap. So, she was good, but didn't eat her grilled cheese. Wanna know why? B/c it had lines through it like it was made on a foreman grill or something. So, she wanted to keep getting up and walking around. So, we ate pretty fast b/c of that. I had to take a picture of her on the cow chair at the restuarnt. She loved it! We went to a gift shop after dinner. We got Haley a bracelet, play dough and play frog. She played with the frog and bracelet the rest of the night. I got a hanging lighthouse decoration for the bathroom and Dave got beer. haha. Good soveriner right? We had ice cream for dessert in our room and watched the Ohio State game. Haley had trouble going to sleep in a strange bed and with the game on. She finally fell asleep at 10:30 and was up at 6 a.m! It was early! Haley and I went down for the contential breakfast and spent a good hour down there. THey had those make your own waffle things. It was so yummy. So, Haley and I had waffle, yogurt and a danish. We went and woke Dave up soon after we got back. We went down with him and he ate to. He was kind of grumpy b/c he didn't like getting woke up so early. We went out to the beach for a bit and then headed home. Haley's 6 a.m. wake up time was getting to her and us, so we thought we better hit the road. We were going to check out the Wright Memorial but decided against it when we saw you had to pay for it and Haley's lack of sleep was getting to much. She fell right to sleep and slept almost the whole ride home. I glad she still can sleep in the car like a baby haha. She zonks out! The drive home was peaceful and scenic. We went the same way back and avoided the tolls again. My husband and I are pretty good navagators when we work together. We had some T-Bell for lunch and relaxed the rest of the day. Dave now left for a 3 weeks out to sear. I have made a list of a ton of things I need to do though before my mom arrives in Oct and before we go back for Lisa's wedding. I'm going to start cleaning out all the closets and start pitching things. Also, I have some craft projects I need to get done ( I can't tell you what it is yet.) I have to get ready for Haley's birthday parties to. I think I can keep myself busy for the first 2 weeks until my re-enforcement arrives :) After that, I'm going to put my poor mom to work to help me lift and do things that I can't right now that I'm pregnant and clean out the house more.

HORRIBLE NIGHT!!!

We had a horrible night last night. We had a horrible storm that woke both Dave and I up last night. Dave told me to check on Haley so I went in and either I woke her up or she was already awake. She stayed awake and wouldn't go back to sleep unitl almost 7 am. It was 3 a.m. when I went and checked on her. I tried everything from giving her some milk, crackers, bread, rocking her...etc. It was just no use, nothing was working to put her back to bed. I'm very frustrated right now. At my husband and at this storm and at the sleep fairy. I'm 22 weeks pregnant and I got MAYBE 4 hours of sleep. This is just not exceptable. I just beyond exhaustion today. I feel very sick to my stomach as well. Whenever Haley did go to sleep, I couldn't sleep. I might of slept for a 1/2 hour before she woke up. I'm thinking this is some trick on me or something. Why me?? I'm so upset and frustrated I needed to blog this experience. I'm hoping once Dave comes home I can take a nap and I will feel a little better. I just don't do well without sleep so I'm just hoping Haley can get her sleeping issues figured out before the new baby comes. I won't beable to handle two not sleeping. That is one of my biggest fears right now while I'm pregnant. Haley is and was such a horrible sleeper as a baby and now this. I guess time will only tell. Wish me luck though on the sleeping. This is about the time when you want to take some sleeping medicines, but I can't. I think these are the times when I cry for my mommy and WISH she were closer. I know that she would be over in a heartbeat and would come sweep Haley off and let me sleep. But, the reality is, she lives 500 miles away and that will not happen until Oct 1st. Okay, I'm just feeling sorry for myself now. Also, sorry if I'm having some major grammatical errors in my posts. I'm pregnant and tired and don't feel like rereading my posts. So, just bare with me for a bit. Thanks for listening!

Belly pictures

Since we were all boarded up in the house Friday and Saturday afternoon, I had Dave take some belly pictures of me. He was sitting on the recliner and ended up getting his holly soaks in it. Then Haley had to be in them along with Jersey. I'm still surprised every time I look in the mirror at my belly. These pictures showed me at 21 weeks 6 days. This was taken on Friday. So far so good still. I'm feeling the baby kick a lot one day and then a little bit the next. It varies I think on how much activity I do that day. She likes to be more active in the morning after breakfast and then in the evening after dinner while I'm relaxing. I have also found she likes to be active right before bed and if I wake up in the middle of the night. I hope that isn't going to be her schedule, being so active in the middle of the night. That's one thing I'm worried about with the new baby is sleep. Haley's been having some sleeping issues. She just doesn't seem to get enough for her age. We put her to bed at 9 and she's up till 10 or 10:30 till she falls asleep. Then she's up at 7 to 7:30 a.m. on the dot everyday. She is still taking a nap during the day b/t an 1 1/2 to 2 hours a day. She needs this nap to b/c of the lack of sleep she gets at night. She's also been waking up randomly in the middle of the night putting her music box on or like Sunday not able to sleep. It's been very rough on me when she's been doing this. I feel like I'm not getting enough sleep. I have never been one to be able to nap either. I can lay down and lay there and relax, but rarely fall asleep. If I could, I know I would feel 100% better. I have been very exhausted lately. I first thought it was getting use to Dave in the bed from not being there for 2 weeks, then having his parents here, now I just think it's Haley's sleeping and waking me up. I can't seem to fall back to sleep very easily once I'm waken up. Haley's never been a sleeper, but she has been doing well sleeping during the night. I'm really hoping this is just a phase or some sort of growth spurt coming on. I can only hope for my pregnant exhausted self!
If anyone was wondering about us during "Tropical Storm Hanna" we were fine. We waited for Dave on Friday to see if his ship was going to have to pull out b/c of the storm. Well, it's good thing they didn't b/c this storm was barely a storm at all for us. We got like less then an inch of rain on Saturday. We got more rain on Friday from the outer bands, and that wasn't even bad. We had some 50mph gust of wind, but basically the storm either wasn't bad, or totally missed us. I guess if it was moving slower it would of caused flooding, but it was moving so fast it didn't do much damage. We did stay in until Saturday evening b/c of the winds. We felt so cooped up and decided to go to Outback for dinner. I have my issues with Outback b/c when Dave was in book camp I got VERY sick there. Well, it's been like 4 years and it seems that everything is okay now. It was so good! Haley behaved well and Dave's steak was yummy. We went to Walmart and looked at toys for Haley's birthday afterwards. It was a really nice weekend spent with our family. We needed the time alone to spend and be a family. Sunday was a lazy day and I actually watched the Brown's game with Dave. He got mad and changed it half way through though haha. We had enchiladas for dinner and watched a good episode of Big Brother. A good ending to a good weekend, other then Haley having some PMS all weekend haha. She's been very opinionated lately. Saying "NO" alot. It's driving us CRAZY. Yesterday was a bad day. She wouldn't listen to me. She jumped out of the cart at the commisary and insisted on walking. She ran off from me to get unneeded bread. It just was a bad day from the start at 5 a.m when she had woken up and couldn't sleep. I should of knew. I hope today is better behavior wise for her. Once Dave got home from school today (he's at a week long school at the base a 1 mile away from our house. He was able to come home for lunch for an hour and has to be in at 8:30 to 2:30. I told him I wish he worked there every day. It would be so nice gas and driving wise!) I basically had a enough of Haley's behavior. So, miss Haley went to bed at 8:30 last night and didn't fall asleep until 10, but I got some very much needed alone and TV time. Dave let me watch Gossip Girl and One Tree Hill and The Hills! I think it was from us watching football and Smokey and the Bandit all weekend. I don't ask for much TV time, but I do like my CW shows. Anyone like the new 90210? I was and still am a huge Beverly Hills 90210 fan, and decided to check out the new one. I was pretty impressed and was more into the old characters of course. I can't wait to watch it tonight!! Okay, this has become very long, but it helped get my frustration out I have been feeling about non-sleeping and almost 3 year old behavior. Haley will be 3 in less then a month now. I have to figure out how to buy things without her seeing them when she's with me or just go on my own for an hour or so to buy things while Dave is still home or when my mom comes....hmmm...

Before/After

Last weekend the ducks had decided to lay some unwanted we'll say "waste" on my driveway. So, Haley and I went out to clean it up. Well, she kind of tried to help spray off the driveway with the hose and ended up soaked. So, she ended up just running through the hose while I did it. It was pretty funny. I thought this before and after pictures were pretty cute.

My scrapbook pages

Here are the pages I made. One is family pictures of the three of us and Dave and I. The are some recent ones and then some from a few years ago. 2.) 2 pages of me and my three college roommates. Lisa is one of them. I couldn't decide what pictures to use so they range from starting about 6 years ago to the present. 3.) 1 page is just Lisa and I pictures. There isn't any really recent on there. Probably dating about 6 years ago to about 2 years ago. I guess I couldn't find any really recent ones. I didn't have an college pictures here. They are all at my mom's, so I couldn't put any real oldies on there haha. Those would be the funnier ones. Just thought I would post the ones I did. You have to click on them again to have them bigger to see the pictures better. Enjoy :)

Scapbook pages

About two weeks ago, Haley and I worked for 2 days on scrapbook pages for Lisa's wedding shower. We had a blast doing it to. Instead of having a guestbook for her wedding, she is going to have people do scrapbook pages or sign the scrapbook pages she does. I thought it was a really cute idea. She had told me since I wasn't able to be at the shower we could participate and still make the scrapbook pages for the shower. I was all about that. So, I ended up making 4 pages and Haley made two. She had so much fun doing it. She mainly decorated with stickers and glitter glue. She made one for "Mr. Vince" and one for "Aunt Lisa." You might need to click on the pictures to see the pages a little bit bigger. I choose for Lisa's picture the first time she held Haley at 6 weeks old and Vince's picture the first time they came to visit us and Haley was 9 1/2 months old. I will have to post my pages on a separate post b/c it was on another camera. I didn't want to post these pictures until the shower was done. That was yesterday. I'm so sorry I wasn't able to be there Lisa. I'm so sad I missed it. At least we'll be there for the most important day! The wedding :)
