Leah 7 month pictures..

We got Leah's 7 month pictures taken yesterday at Penny's. She did really good and didn't cry. She didn't do her huge smile like she normally smiles, but her new "scrunched" up nose smile. I love all of them. These are just a few of the really good ones.

Family picture

Here is a quick updated family photo from last week. I'm pretty sure we were going to the beach here. It think it's cute!

Double jogging stroller

So, we made an expensive but much needed purchase on Friday. I had purchased a double stroller off of craigslist a few months ago, but it was impossible for me to push with the girls. Haley was just to big for it. So, I convinced Dave I needed this double jogging stroller. It was the best purchased we have made in a long time. The girls fit in it great and it's so easy to stroll. I love it!! I hope I will start walking to lose my "butt in the front."

Sitting up

Leah can now sit up. I'm so excited. Still wobbly a little bit, but my little baby is growing up. Daddy even got to see this accomplishment. She loves to sit on the blanket and just play with her toys and books. She loves to be read to. She looks at your and smiles when you read to her.

New Booster Seat

We decided to get Haley a booster seat this week. Her carseat was getting small for her, and Leah will be in it before you know it. We actually decided on pink this time. I know, we'll probably get pregnant with a boy haha. That is what I told Dave once we purchased it. Haley loves it! She can even unbuckle herself. I told her only when the car is stopped and her she can. She's growing up so fast!

Happy 7 months...

So, I'm a bit behind on the 7 month post. It's been so crazy here. The girls schedule has been really screwed up since we have gotten back to Va. They wait before 7 am everyday. So, it's causing some major sleep deprevation on my part. But, anyway, Leah is doing good. She is defintely teething again. She has her cranky days and then her happy days. She's eating soilds for breakfast, dinner and right before bed. She still wakes for a bottle b/t 4-6. I have now raised her oz's per bottle to 5 oz's. She does great, and changed her nipples to rapid kind. She is now officially sitting up on her own. She is a little wobbly, but she is doing good. She really wants to crawl and move, but still can't. She is still in size 1 diapers, but they are getting to small. So, she'll be in size 2 by the time this pack runs out. Her napping is not good anymore. She sometimes doesn't want to sleep in her crib, and then falls asleep in her chair. I'm trying my best to get her schedule back to normal, but it's very frustrating. We are leaving for Ohio on Friday, so it will be dissrupted again. Hopefully come Sept 1st, we'll be staying put and then getting back to normal. Lets just hope!

The Arrival and the reunion...

Being reunited after 5+ months was awesome! He just came out of no where to. I just kept looking for him and looking for him throughout all these white sailor uniforms. I was so excited. Haley was so excited to see him. She will not let him out of her sight. She won't even let him go to the bathroom without being with him haha. (don't worry, he escapes to use it haha) We don't have has many pictures this time b/c it was just us at the pier. I got a few though. I'm so glad he's home. It was the best feeling seeing him again. We are so happy to have Daddy home again!! Hopefully, this is our last deployment. Welcome home Honey!! We missed you!

The wait...

I think the pictures from "The Wait" pretty much speak for themselves. We were so energetic for the first half of the wait. We stood with Lindsay, Emily and baby Megan. Haley and Emily entertained themselves for a long time. We though can only ask so much of three year old. At one point, I was trying to hold both of them. The babies had good times and bad times. First Megan screamed, then fell asleep. Leah was happy then screamed for like 10 minutes then passed out in exhaustion from heat and tiredness. She woke up just in time for Daddy to get off the ship. Lindsay, mom and I were just trying to keep cool and the girls cool. Mom took turns holding all the girls. Lindsay (the smart mom she is) brought wash clothes with ice bags to put over the girls. I'm so glad she did, b/c Leah really needed it for the heat. It was 90+ degree's out and with a little breeze. I think at one point we were delirious and trying to keep cool. Hence Lindsay with the wash cloth on her head, and she has one of me haha. At the very beginning, both Lindsay and I got interviewed by the media. I'm not sure if we made it on tv, but it was fun getting interviewed. The ship came in about noon, but we had to wait again for the brow to come up and for Dave to get off. We got a really nice pictures of him, his dad and uncle on the ship. They had came down on Sunday and left Monday for the tiger cruise. It was pretty neat seeing them on the ship to.

Before his arrival.

The day before Haley and I made welcome home Daddy sign. Then made him a chocolate cake and chocolate chip cookies his favorite. Haley decorated a special cookie just for Daddy. For the sign, I put both girls feet and hand prints on the sign. We will remember just how little they were when he came home.
