The Zoo

Last thursday we made our first trip to the Va/Norfolk Zoo. Haley's been pretty difficult the last two weeks. We aren't sure if it was b/c she wasn't feeling well or she's teething or what it is. She's been really cranky and wanting her "Pi Pi" all the time. Dave had duty the night before and it wasn't a great day on weds, so I told him I really wanted to do something fun. He suggested the zoo. I had been waiting to take Haley to the zoo b/c I wanted him to be home. So, we ventured there. It was kind of an adventure getting there. We thought we were driving through the ghetto and stuff. But, once we got there it was safe haha. Anyway, Haley was pretty cranky at first. She just wanted to be carried. She goes "CARE CARE". She's a 26 1/2 lb baby. She's heavy. Well, after a while she got use to her stroller and settle down to have a good time. She would wave to the animals. She loved them ALL. It was so nice seeing her having fun and laughing. Just after the last couple of weeks of her being so cranky. It really made me feel nice to see her having a fun time. It's not a really big zoo, but perfect to take a 20 month old. It took us about 2 hours to tour it. I loved seeing the animals. I was really impressed. I think Dave enjoyed himself as well. It was so nice just going as a family. I think the most exciting thing which was pretty disgusting to was we saw an elephant take a humgous poop and pee. It was CRAZY how much was coming out of this elephant!! I was majorly impressed!!!!! haha. Pretty gross, but we just keep staring like OMG how much more could he go. haha. Haley was VERY tired afterwards and fell asleep as soon as we got in the car. She only slept from the zoo home. Which was only maybe a half hour or 45 mins. She was raring to go when we got home. I have been really trying to do outside things with her to keep her more active. She really wants to watch ELMO all the time. I'm hoping it's a phase. I borrowed some movies from my neighbor Carolyn to see if she would like some Disney movies other then ELMO. We bought ICE AGE 1 and 2. There both pretty funny! We borrowed Lion King 1 and 2, Brother Bear, Elmoplooza (SHE LOVES OF COURSE) and she gave us Snow White, Seasme Street Sing a Along and another sinze along. I also took Haley to the beach yesterday on Dave's duty day with our friend Berny and her girls. Haley did excellant all day. I was so relieved. I have had some minor melt downs as of late b/c she's been so cranky and clingy to me. It's really hard at this stage. I'm also having issues with her with the potty. She all of the sudden doesn't want anything to do with it. She won't even let me sit her on it. I just upset b/c I have two friends that their babies are using the potty and she isn't. I guess they do it all at their own time. I keep saying Haley's just to smart and to stubborn haha. One day it will happen. I guess I can't rush it. Okay..this is a book. Enjoy the pictures!

Fun Father's Day

Haley had a fun little outfit on sunday for Father's Day. She looked so cute with her pigtails and her visor. The pigtails lasted for like an hour and were a mess. Her hair is an awkward stage.

Playing in my stroller..the wrong way!

We moved Haley's stroller into the house when we were moving things from the truck to the van and vice versa. Well she started to play in the stroller and go in the storage rack haha. I thought it was pretty cute. I love these monkey pj's she has on to :)

These are just some random pictures of Haley. It's so hard to take good ones of her b/c she is always moving around!! She's been a treat the last two weeks we've been home. She's had some very bad congestion in her lungs. We took her to the dr on weds and he gave her an antibotic and decongestant. It didn't work. So, now she's on two inhalers and another oral medicine. It's working a little bit. I'm just concerned about her. She's to young to be going throught his stuff. She's acting fine though. She's not coughing at night like she was though. Which I think it's a good sign. She goes to the dr. for her exzema tomorrow morning and back to the ped dr on friday for a re-check.

Bye Truck

I wanted to post a picture of the truck. We traded it in on monday for a Pontiac G 6. It's silver with black interior. It's pretty sharpe. I was sad to see the truck go though. I will post a picture of the new car as soon as I have one. Bye truck!!! :(

Mommy and I

I think this was last tues. Haley and I were on our own for the first time in like 8 months. It was a weird feeling. I got kind of bored. I guess I have to get use to it though unfortunately. It's going to happen!

What a good Mother!

My daughter is the best mother to her babies. She puts them in pots and tries to put the lid on them. She also sticks them in the oven and microwave of her kitchen. Such motherly love!!

The Drive home..

This is the normal picture of our driving home. Geez..Jersey looks like she is on drugs haha.

Fun Times at Papa's

After Aunt Valerie's that day, we stopped at Papa's for dinner. aka Dave's Dad's. It was a yummy steak dinner. I love my mother in laws cooking!!! Then Dave's other sister Jaime (she's his youngest of his three oldest sisters) came over with her bf and her son. We had a good time hanging out and playing outside. I was very impressed by the Ohio weather while I was home.

Fun at Aunt Valeries

A week ago today we went to Dave's oldest sisters house to hang out. We all had a good time. Haley was trying to play with Erica. She also tried to imitate her doing a cartwheel!! I was afriad!! I guess she's at the no fear stage. She was running around with the kids and Dave playing soccer. She also got a big lick from Pepper.

My first Dairy Queen

We got Haley her first Dairy Queen while in Ohio. She loved it!! She would rather eat the ice cream with as spoon though then lick the cone. She had a good time! Half way through her pig tails came out she was having so much fun!!

Packing..

Haley was helping pack for our trip home and decided to pack herself haha.

Daddy and the Klondike bar...

We were watching the Cavs game and Dave started eating a Klondike Bar. Well Haley wanted it so bad, she climbed up in his lap and planted herself there and said "BITE" really loud in his face. It was pretty funny. As soon as she was done with one bite, she would say "BITE" again. Why can't she do this with regular food??

Our litte climber

Haley's starting to climb a little bit more. This was taken monday after dave came home. She has her Memorial Day dress on :)

Swimming in a my new pool

Thanks to Lindsay and Emily, Haley now has a pool to swim in the backyard. The sunday everyone left we got it all ready for Haley to swim in. It was really hot! She had a blast! She is defintely a fish in the water. She was trying to jump out of our arms at the indoor pool at the hotel were "Papa" and "Ma Ma" stayed at.

Cheese!!!

Haley is doing this new thing wear she'll pause and say "cheese" and tilt her head. I actually got her picture taken when she was doing it and she didn't look away!! This is amazing!!

Visit to the Boardwalk.

These boardwalk pictures came out really dark, since it was dark. I guess I could of lightened them a bit. Sorry!!!
