Basement

We have talked for years and years and years about finishing my mom's basement. My entire life that I lived in her house I always wanted it finished and finally she's getting it finished!! I asked Dave if he could finish it while he's looking for a job. Here are some of the pictures of what he's done so far. He's so proud of it and I'm so proud of him for knowing how to do this stuff! It's so nice to have a husband that is handy. When I grew up my Dad could barely screw in a light bulb!! I really believe it's how you grow up and if you get taught how to do this stuff. Dave's dad and grandpa taught him all he knows :)

Lisa's Baby Shower

On Sunday we had Lisa's baby shower. Stacie and I were in charge of the centerpieces, favors, cake, decorations, games, advice book and book to write things down. Everything went so well. I was so pleased how the centerpieces came out. I had bought buckets from Target then we sprayed painted them white. Then we stamped butterflies on them and hot glued pink, white and brown ribbon around the point. Then added flowered cellophane paper along with Pink Vinca flowers. I punched out pink and brown butterfly confetti. Stacie added bunches of balloons on the cake and gift table. Lyndsay made the cake along with the butterfly and flowered cookie favors. They were sooo good! The cake was white with strawberry filling. Haley was my little confetti helper. She even had a little girl to play with at the shower. Everything just went so well! Lisa got so many wonderful gifts. Her baby is going to have a great start to this world!

Being pretty princesses

Haley has been in a princess mood as of late. She really went through a time period of not dressing up as one. But, recently she broke the princess clothes back out and wants Leah to join in. Leah has not a clue what we are doing to her haha. She is so cute in them though. Haley is so tall with her princess heels on. I just can't believe how tall she is getting. Leah had a good time in her princess clothes and a good time eating them haha!

Handsome Husband

Last week, Dave had his first interview to wear his brand new suit! We got him a nice suit just for interviews. I had to take a picture of him. I thought he looked so handsome. The job wasn't something he was interested in though unfortunately. We are still crossing our fingers something comes our way. We can't wait to start our lives for real in the real world!

Sprinkler fun in Michigan

In Michigan, we had to be home for Leah's nap, so one day we convinced Grandma to let Haley run through the sprinkler. She had so much fun. The temperature was super warm, but the hose water was super cold! She kept bringing the water over to me on my legs and I thought it was freezing. I kept telling Haley to do cartwheels through the sprinkler like I use to do. So, she was attempting them. So, of course me and Dave had to do them to. haha. My husband does a darn good cartwheel for a guy. I still have a mean cartwheel. I didn't even pull a muscle!

Memorial Day weekend..

We spent the Memorial Day weekend in Michigan visiting with Dave's mom. That was the first time the girls had been up to Michigan. On the way there, we stopped at Dave's friend's Brad's house ( he was the minister who married us.) Him and his wife Jamie just had a baby. I unfortunately didn't take pictures. I seemed to forget my camera a lot when I was up there. These pictures are from the cook out we went to at Dave's mom's friends Tina and Rod. The girls really had a lot of fun. They had a pool, swing set, motorized cars, and a little car even for Leah to ride in. Leah played on a tiny little toddler slide and learned to climb up all by herself. She's so adventurous! Haley loved their swing set and swung and swung. There were a few kids Haley got to play with to. She even convinced Dave to go in the pool even though he didn't bring his bathing suit haha. It was freezing and Haley wouldn't let go of him. Leah wandered around their yard which was huge! It was nice to just let her walk around and explore like she loves to do without worrying about her going in the street or anything.
