There are some big changes ahead for us. As of tomorrow, I am no longer a stay-at-home mom. I will be working part-time as a bank teller. I really have very mixed emotions about taking a job. Dave is still on unemployment and is not having any luck with finding a good job. He's had several interviews the past month but nothing has panned out. I applied for this teller job out of a whim and they emailed and called me the next day. I guess I wasn't really prepared for that. So, I went for an interview and the next day I got the job. I had to defer my start date several times b/c Dave had interviews in Toledo and Bowling Green. Now that it's actually the eve of me starting, I'm so emotional! I have not worked since I had Leah. Leah is a very active baby. You have to constantly watch her. I'm very nervous to leave her with Daddy. Not that Dave isn't a great dad, but sometimes he gets distracted by Haley like we all do. I'm probably just making up excuses to not want to work and stuff. It's just such a big change. I just hope I made the right decision. I do feel like I need some me time. We have never been a family for this long. I meaning, the Navy always had Dave away for week here, a month there 8 month's there. So, it's a big change. A good change though. I'm just so emotional about leaving them for any amount of time and missing something. I guess that is what I'm most upset about.
Another change coming...Haley starts a new dance class on August 31st. She will be taking Tap, Jazz, Ballet and Gymnastics. I'm very excited for this. I think this new studio will be great. When I started dance I did this same combo class. It gave me a little bit of everything and let me see what I liked. We went to Band Night on Tuesday and Haley decided she wanted to be a majorette. I'll support whatever she wants. Haley also starts her first year of preschool on Sept 8th. I'm so excited but so sad and emotional all at the same time! Things are changing so much around!
As for Leah, she's changing to. She is following directions much better. Her new word is "circle." Tonight she was drawing on the driveway with chalk and almost did a circle and said it! Such a big change from a month ago. She has started to say "I Love You" again. I'm hoping her talking is just around the corner. She goes for her 18 month checkup on August 31st.
I'll keep all my blogger friends updated on my job :)
the days and life of my beautiful and crazy little girls.........

Chucky Cheese
On a whim, we decided to take the kids to Chucky Cheese. We were watching our nephew Jason and decided why not. Haley has been begging to go there for months it seems like. It was a good time to go before school started and all the sickness moved in. They had a really good time. Dave spent $20 on tokens though haha. The prizes weren't anything to write home about but as long as they had fun is what counts. Leah loved the Chucky Show. She just keep staring at him and running around and staring at him. Haley loved playing all the games. She got a picture of herself with Chucky and a "fake" license with her picture on it. As for me, I loved ski ball haha. That was my favorite :)
Barbie Jeep
The girls took their Barbie jeep for a spin for the first time the other day. Their cousin Erica gave this to Haley like 2 years ago. She was to young for it at the time. This summer Haley wanted to play with it, but the battery was dead. So, we finally bought a new battery and charger for it. Haley insisted that Leah had to go for a ride with her. It was absolutely hilarious watching Haley drive and Leah being oblivious to her sister's horrible Barbie jeep driving! I could not stop laughing. I got it all on video to. :) Haley, thankfully, has improved a bit on her driving she's no longer almost running into trees, swingsets..stuff like that..she will stop before she hits them and backs up. haha. Leah is still having a ball riding around eating the Barbie Jeep phone while her sister parades her around. It could just be a glimpse into the future of Haley driving Leah around haha.
PLaying around
We have been spending a lot of time outside. The weather was alot milder this week so it was a perfect time to play outside. I normally don't take them out till about 12..well Haley I take out by herself, while Leah is napping. Then Leah comes out for about an hour then a little bit after dinner. It all depends on our schedule for the day and how hot it is. Haley normally gets a good amount of time to play with her friends across the street or just with me by herself. I think it's important to her to have that time to.

19 months old
Leah turned 19 months a few weeks ago. I'm a little behind on this post haha. Things haven't changed a whole lot since 18 months, but here's some things she's doing..
-She still isn't talking. Apparently my 13 year old niece understood her last night. We are a little concerned about the talking but hoping it jump starts pretty soon.
-She knows all the motions to Wheels on the bus. She LOVES that song.
-She's beginning to be a happy baby again! Finally! I had the happiest little baby and then when teething hit she was not. She's starting to laugh and smiling all the time now.
-She's starting to get more affectionate. She gives me kisses before bedtime and hugs us.
-She still loves her food. Still haven't found 1 thing she won't eat :)
-We have broken her Blue's Clues watching while eating. Yes, it was very very bad..but I put my foot down a week ago and it's been working out really well. No TV while eating..now only if Grandma and Daddy would follow if they feed her.
-She loves playing outside and sliding down the slide, she loves playing with bubbles and walking around and sitting in the grass.
-I think the putting things her mouth stage is getting a little bit better. She still does it alot, but it's slightly less than before.
-Still in size 3 diapers..going to keep her in them as long as possible since you get more the lesser the size :)
Happy 19 month baby girl! We love you!!!

Baby Lauren
One of my best friends from college had her baby in the wee hour this morning. Dave and I went out to Akron to visit her, Baby Lauren and Vince. I'm so happy to be a "quote" aunt now! It's my first time. I have never been able to visit someone after having a baby. Congratulations to Vince and Lisa. We are so happy for you!
