Present from Papa and May May
The girls recieved special presents from Papa and May May when they visited last week. Leah got a blue stuffed bunny and Haley got a princess story / puzzle book. They love their new presents.
Fall is here!
Fall is my favorite time of year. Not only for Halloween shirts for the girls (which each of them got like 3 new ones :) ) but for fall decorations! I love to decorate for fall. It's so much fun. Since we have a new house this year, we get to decorate differently.
******Update: The girls were sick for the past 5 days. Haley got it first Weds night, then was pretty sick till Saturday. Leah got it Thursday night and both still have a running/stuffy nose. Leah ended up with a double ear infection. She is now taking Amoxil for 10 days. She isn't to into the medicine. Fun stuff! I've also been alone without Dave b/c he's out to sea. Not good timing NAVY! It's been really rough. Leah's not's sleeping well b/c of being sick and I think she's working on her upper left tooth how. The upper right one broke through last week. I'm praying she starts to sleep like before b/c I have been a walking zombie taking care of these sicks girls on my own for almost a week now. NOt fun!!

Leah's new coat
For some reason, I can't remember what coat Haley had when she was around 1. Have no clue, and can't seem to find one either. So, Leah got a new coat from my mom in the mail a few days ago. It is an 18 month coat and fits her so good!! She's a big girl..and apparently 12 and 18 month stuff is now fitting her. Yikes where did my little baby go?

I wanna be a Frig mommy for Halloween..
New things..
Leah has been on a world of discovery has of late. She has learned a lot of new things probably in the past two weeks. She can now clap her hands when we ask her to clap. She does raspberries whenever you ask her to. She is learning "So, Big!" Her newest thing is waving "bye and hi". She always waves and says "Da, Da, Da, Da, Da." over and over. It's so cute. I'm working on blowing kisses to. She is officially creeping now to. She isn't putting her knee's up for crawling, but she pulls herself with her arms and scoots her body forward. It's pretty interesting to watch. Haley never did this, so it's something new for us. Leah is always trying to get Jersey. I think that is why she learned to creep b/c she's always trying to get her tail or fur or something. It's really funny. We'll look away for a minute and their she is getting Jersey again. Jersey is so patient and she'll just get up and walk away if she's had a enough haha. Thank God, for a good dog :)
As we all know, Haley has been a very DIFFICULT eater. We have struggled and struggled with her with real food. I'm trying to introduce more solids to Leah a little earlier then Haley. Right now, she loves Ritz crackers. She took to them pretty fast. The other stuff, not so much. I have given her puff's, which she ate maybe 2 or 3 today. I broke them up in little pieces. I tried Cheerios she would rather play with them. I tried bread and jelly sandwich, no go on that. I tried mashed potatoes, no go again. She tried jello last week, she seemed to like that. The biggest hit other then Ritz crackers were the Biting Biscuits. She went to town on them. It was so funny to watch her. Thank goodness I taped her.
She had it all over herself. She is doing much better with the sippy cup. We got new ones at Target last weekend, so she seems to enjoy them. I switched from Apple juice to water to White Grape juice. She really enjoys water and white grape juice, not apple for some reason. She barely drinks any of it, but she's getting the hang of holding the cup. I think she likes biting the coldest of the top more then anything.

Jaime and Scotts Wedding
Jaime and Scott's wedding were one of the reasons we went to Ohio last month among other's of course. It was a really nice wedding. They had it in Garden Brook Gazebo and then the reception followed in the hall. Jaime looked gorgeous and Scott didn't look to bad himself either. It's nice to see the whole family dressed up haha. The reception was a little hot to say the least. Some of the air conditioners were broke in the place causing it to be very uncomfortable. The girls though had a blast. Once bedtime hit and a little incident of Haley getting lost in the crowd during the dollar dance. (Dave's dad was suppose to be watching her, enough said :) ) They were ready to go home. My mom took the girls home while Dave and I stayed and enjoyed the rest of the reception. It was so nice to be NOT PREGNANT at this wedding. The last 3 weddings I have been pregnant in the family. YIKES! haha. But have not fear, Angie was the one who took my place being pregnant and now the girls have a beautiful new boy cousin named Nickolus.

Dance Class
Haley had her first dance class of year two on Tuesday. This year she is in the 5-6 year olds ballet, tap and jazz. She was put in the same class as last year, but the age range is a little older now. The main group are 4 going to be 5. She is one of the youngest, but I'm okay with that. They do have a 3-4 class going on at the same time and can be dropped down to that class if need be. I asked the teacher how she did and she said she did great! Jazz is new this year. She never took it last year. She came home and showed me first thing a leap. I'm so excited she is learning leaps. Those are my favorite things to in dance. I can't to help her with things. She really seems to enjoy all the classes. Leah did great in the waiting room to. It's was more difficult when it hit 2pm (naptime) but we did good. Tuesday's will just be a little stretch for naps around here.
The Dentist
Haley went to the dentist for the first time this week. I thought it was about time. She's almost 4 and I really want to make sure we are doing a good job on brushing with her. We are! Dave was off so we all went. We couldn't bring Leah back to the cleaning b/c they said something about airborne things, so we took turns going back with her. She was such a big girl. She did everything they told her to do. She even got a rubber glove like them, a new toothbrush, toothpaste, and floss. The doctor and hygentist were so good with her. You could tell they do kids all the time. She got to pick from the toy chest and picked a bracelet and a buttefly bouncey ball. Haley has all her teeth 11 on top and bottom.

Bottle advice..
So, since day 1 Leah has always fought her last bottle of the night. The one right before she goes to bed. Well, now its every single bottle. I can no longer hold her like a baby to feed her. She wants no part in that. She has to be sat in a chair and have the bottle stuck in her mouth. It was working pretty well until recently. She just doesn't really want the bottle anymore. I would say fine and give up on it and switch to cups, but she doesn't really want the cup either. I'm getting so frustrated. I have wasted so much formula the last few weeks. Could this be a result of teething? I NEVER had a problem with Haley and her bottles. Go figure, the little girl who won't eat for me always ate her bottles and baby food. Leah will eat solids like crazy but isn't happy with the bottle now. She'll eat maybe 2 to 3 oz's out of a 5 oz bottle. I have started only making 4 oz's hoping she'll at least eat that. I'm so frustrated with the bottle thing and now lack of sleep again. Leah's top right tooth is about to break through so it's been a bad few nights. If anyone has an sort of advice on this, please I welcome it. I need something. Her dr's appt won't be until next month. Also, when did everyone's babies crawl? She's only creeping and Haley crawled at 7 1/2 months. I was just wondering. Thanks!

8 month's old
Leah was 8 months yesterday. I can't believe she's getting so big. I couldn't get her to sit there and have the sign next to her, so I had to put it above her head haha. Then she was trying to get that to. Here is a few things about Leah now at 8 months..
She tried "Yo Baby" yogurt for the first time on Tues and loved it. She tried apple and cereal.
She eats cereal and fruit for breakfast, then a bottle before naptime at 10, then yogurt for lunch, and a bottle before second nap at 2, then another bottle around 4:30, eat's dinner at 5:30. She eats a baby food dinner 1/2 jar and then a half jar/container of veg as well. Then she takes a little nap about 6:30 till 7. Has cereal at 8 with fruit and a bottle following. She goes to bed b/t 8:30=9. She is eating b/t 4-5 oz's. She hates being held like a baby and is sometimes difficult to feed. She would rather sit in a chair and be feed a bottle. She fits her bottles a lot, and I think it means that she is getting tired of them. She is in size 2 diapers. She claps her hands when we clap our hands. She put weight on her legs for the first time today standing for about a few seconds but so excited fell down. She is a very active baby. Always busy doing something and always talking. Dave taught her to do raspberry's and does this all the time. She loves the outside. She is normally perfectly content when it comes to be outside. Her sleeping good off and on. She will still get up for a bottle around 4 or 5..but I'm going to try to stop that in the next few weeks. Dave leaves for 10 days and I'm going to attempt to let her cry it out in the middle of the night. She doesn't need the bottle I don't think. She is still waking about 7 am. Still only 2 teeth and thinking more are coming very soon. Her favorite show is Yo Gabba Gabba. She loves to watch DJ Lance. I hope this isn't her first crush already! She is wearing 9-12 month sleepers, 6-9 month clothes and can fit in some 12 month clothes. She is sitting up on her own and wobbles still a few times. No crawling yet. Her hair is still light, and seems to be growing a bit more especially in the front. No ponytails though for a while (DARN!!) Happy 8 months Leah booger Baby!!

Sesame Place
We had so much fun at Sesame Place. The pictures don't do it justice. It was a long 2 weeks in Ohio, so it was so nice to be just the 4 of us..plus Jersey again of course. We got to the hotel on Thursday afternoon, then went and ate dinner at neat Italian restaurant. Then got up early and went to Sesame Place. We were so afraid it was going to rain the whole time, but it held off until the last 10 minutes we were there. Yeah! Haley rode her first big girl rollarcoaster with Dave twice!! I was to scared to even go on it haha. We rode Elmo's flying fish twice, Slimey's ride, the bouncing thing, Big Birds Balloon ride, the carousal twice, Elmo's tea cups, and almost went down the huge slide, but Haley got scared. We saw two show's Elmo's World show which Leah was picked to be in the show and be the Baby Elmo talks to. She was so good in it! Then Elmo gave her a kiss and she was about to cry, but then didn't haha. I even got a special kiss from Elmo. We also saw Abby Cadaby's show. Leah loved that one. She scared the whole time at it. We decided against the water rides that day (and there was a ton of them) b/c it was to cold. We just had a great day. Since we are military we got in free at this park. We get one free Amiserbush (sp) bush park free each year. It was such a nice cheap mini-vacation. I really want to go again when Leah's a little older so she can enjoy it like Haley did. It was a great place to ease Haley into and possibly us going to Disney World someday....hopefully within the next 5 years. Oh, I almost forgot they had a huge Sesame Parade down "Sesame Street". It had all the characters singing and dancing. Haley loved it. The characters came right up and slapped your hand or touched your hand. It was so neat! Haley also got her face painted like a princess. I loved it. She sat like a big girl and was so amazed by it. She was sad when I had to wash it off before bedtime. We even went to dinner that night with it on. Everyone complimented her on it.
