Christmas Day 09
Christmas Day was a lot of fun. It's so funny watching the excitement out of Haley and Dave to open up presents. (Yes, I said Dave lol) This was also Leah's first Christmas. I want to buy everything for the girls and have them get everything, but we just can't afford that, so we try to get them as much as we can. Haley and Leah both had 1 big present from Santa. Haley got Cinderella's castle and Leah got Peek A Boo Silly Town. Haley also got Snow White and the Seven Dwarf's, Ken Barbie, Play Dough BBQ set, more PLay Dough, a computer game from us. Leah got Blues Clues DVD, 1st Barbie, Tiger toy, Rhyming book from us. Dave got me Target gift card, The Vampire Dairies Books (so excited to read them!), Dust Buster (so excited to sweep up cheerios!) and lots of gum and candy haha. Dave got 2 DS Games, Browns pull over, Start Trek, Wolverine, and Rocky Baboa DVD's. We had turkey for dinner with homemade stuffing, corn and mashed potatos. It turned out great!! Pumpkin pie and cookies for dessert. It was just the four of us and it was so good having just us. Dave will be leaving in less than a week again for another deployment, so this was really special to us. We were a family of four on a really special day. We even attempted family pictures haha. The family shot was a little crazy with a almost 1 year old who's always on the go..but we tried. The individual shots turned out good. Haley loves the camera!
Christmas Eve 09
This was two Christmas in a row we weren't in Ohio. We were sad to miss out on all the festivities but okay with it at the same time. We got to be at our own house with our family for Christmas morning. Christmas Eve was spent making cookies. Haley and I had a lot of fun making them and then later eating them. I unfortunately was sick all week, and wasn't feeling to hot that day b/c Leah was up 5 times that night to. But, I did it for Haley. She loves to make cookies and especially sugar ones. We were more creative on our designs this year to. She's getting better and making up her own designs to. After dinner, we drove around and looked at Christmas lights in our nieghborhood. The girls had their Christmas PJ's on. I must say though, Ohio is much better at the lighting of houses. We were pretty dissappointed in our nieghborhood. We then came home and enjoyed some cookies. Haley and I made reindeer dust for the reindeers and sprinkled some outside so they knew where to come. Then they were both off to bed...that's when we put out the presents and got some nice pictures of the Christmas tree with all the presents.

Random Pictures from Our Trip to Ohio
A Sad good-bye..
We said good bye to our good friends the Lindsay, Emily and Megan a few weeks ago. Linsday's husband was abruptly discharged out of the Navy. They left the Tuesday before Thanksgiving. I was so SAD to see them go. I hope we can get together again someday! It's not the same here without Lindsay. We were pregannt together with both of our girls and she was the only good friend I really have in Va. I miss her already!!
11 months 12/1/09
It's been a while since I have blogged. I'm so behind! It feel bad that I haven't really been keeping up on this. It just seems like we have been so busy. We were in Ohio longer than we expected to be. We stayed 5 days more. It's been nice having Dave finally home for about 6 weeks, but then he leaves again in 2 weeks for 3 1/2 months YUCK!! While we were home Leah turned 11 months! I like to blog for each month so I know what she was doing at this point in time to remember for the future. So here goes...
Size 3 diapers still..
Now taking 6 oz bottles was at 3 a day...I just took out her morning bottle so she is now down to 2 bottles, but upped them to 7 oz's now.
Breakfast: rice cereal and fruit or grits and fruit with cherrios or ABC cereal.
Lunch: cut up banana's and baby yogurt with cheesy puffs or crackers.
Dinner: Stage 3 or toddler meals or toddler pasta pick ups and maybe stage 2 veggie's (since WIC gives you so much!)
Snack: Oatmeal and fruit and some crackers or cookie.
She is crusing around furniture.
Took her first 2 steps by herself on Sunday. 12/13/09
Sleeping pretty good as of right now, watch me jinx it. about 8:30-7am.
2 naps a day still. 9:30-11am, and then 2-3:30 or 4pm. Yesterday she slept for almost 3 hour afternoon nap. I actually woke her up b/c I was worried about her. My kids don't sleep haha.
One thing I'm so excited Leah can handle table food so much better then what Haley did or even does now. I just have to work on meat with her. But, she can pretty much mash up anything.
Teeth: still 6, but felt more on top and 1 on the bottom coming in.
Clothes: 18 months. Her 12 months are short now.
Shoe: Bought her first shoes last week, and already lost one! haha. I'm hoping I find it somewhere!
That's about it for now!

Christmas Pictures 2009

This years Christmas pictures came out so nice. It was the first time I had professional pictures with both of the girls. It was a little rough at the end b/c Leah wanted to crawl away and not sit like a big baby haha. It was well worth my sweating. I think they turned out perfect :) Well, all but Leah's bow that wouldn't stay in for the life of it. I guess she just needs more hair.

Haley's 4 year old pictures
Here are a few of Haley's four year old pictures that we got takened today. She loved every bit of it. I think she would be a little model if she could. She just didn't like when the lady took the picture up close and like blinded her. She was done after that, thankfully it was at the very end. The first one is my favorite of all of them.
