Fun with McKenzie and Haley

Yesterday, Haley had her two friends McKenzie and Haley over to play in her pool. They had such a fun time. They play so well together. McKenzie is 3 and Haley just turned 2. It's so funny though we say Haley and both Haley's don't know who we are talking to haha. I sat and talked to Mrs. M and we watched the girls swim and swing. Leah had a good time to. She sat and watched the girls play and they each came over and made her laugh. It was so warm out to! I am even getting a bit of tan! Yeah!

This is Haley's new airplane shelter. She is really scared of airplanes for some reason, so I remembered when I was little we use to play in lawn chairs like this. So, I did this for her. She loves it. Each of the girls, were in and out of it playing.

A Day with Papa

We spent the day with Papa and May May yesterday. We went over about 12:30 and left around 6. We had a really nice visit. A very much needed break for myself as well. It's been a rough week to for me. My mom was gone for 3 days, then came home really sick. So, from last Tuesday till today I have had no help with the girls. I have feed, clothes, bathed etc both girls myself for a whole week. I was ready to completely fall over from exhaustion. To top off things, Leah is not sleeping all that well. I do think it's from teething, but she can start sleeping through the night anytime now. It's been rough b/c she's getting up at least twice each night. 1 time for feeding and 1 time for a pacifier. Then on top of that, Haley sometimes needs to go potty or her tummy is "rumbling." If it's not one things, it's another. So, anyway, it was a nice needed visit. Papa entertained Haley, or shall I say Haley entertained papa. They went for a long walk, and stopped at the playground. Where Haley informed Papa that he can sit and relax on the bench while she played on the jungle gym. Then he sits down and says "Papa, I need you to push me on the swings now." haha So much for relaxing! While they were gone Patty and I chatted and Leah played or slept. We grilled hamburgers on the grill for an early dinner. Haley and I earlier made a banana-sour cream cake with cream cheese frosting for Papa's father's day dessert. It was so yummy!! It was so filling to. It was a like a banana bread cake. I LOVE banana bread, one of my favorite treats. I had brought Haley's bathing suit just in case she wanted to run through the sprinkler and she did of course. So, Papa found an old sprinkler and set it up for her. She had so much fun. It was so neat to see her running around and just loving life and being a kid. It put a huge smile on my face and made my exhausting week turn around.

A Special Picture for Daddy

A few weeks ago, I took a special picture for Dave with the girls in matching dresses. Then I went and had it printed out. Haley decorated a card and we put the picture on the card. She signed her and Leah's name and also wrote to Daddy. It was a special Father's Day card. Then my good friends Lisa and her husband Vince took our home movies I have been taking of the girls for the last 4 + months and put them on a DVD so Dave could see his girls. We sent this out to him about 2 1/2 weeks ago, but couldn't post anything until I knew he had gotten the package. I'm so glad he got it and he loved the present. A very special thank you to Mr. Vince and "Aunt" Lisa for recording the movies to DVD. This is one of my favorite pictures of the girls. I can't wait to continue to have them dress matching sometimes :)

Happy Father's Day!

Happy Father's Day Dave :) We love you and miss you. We can't wait for you to come home! Not much longer!!!

Green Beans

Leah has loved all her solids. I'm not even kidding on her loving them. She eats them all up and even opens her mouth and makes little like yummy noises. It's the neatest thing. Except when it came to Green Beans. haha. She actually shut her mouth and wouldn't open it. I eventually got her to eat them. I extended the green beans for 4 days so she could get use to them. It got much better and the last day she would even open her mouth a bit haha. She had peas tonight and she did great with them. So far she has had carrots, squash, sweet potatoes, green beans and now peas. Fruit wise she has had banana's, pears, applesauce, and prunes. I still have to give her peaches b/c I skipped it b/c she was having way to many poop explosions haha. She is eating Mixed, Rice and Cream of Wheat cereal at night and in the morning.

Teeth!!

Guess what..Leah has two teeth coming in!! I found them this morning. I can't believe one broke through already and another one is about to. They just came out of no where! I was so happy to see them, but then so emotional to. She's getting bigger, and now getting teeth. I was so caught off guard. I have no idea why. Haley had her first teeth at 5 months and her second a week later. I can't wait to see how long it will take Leah's to come in. She also has been really enjoying the exersaucer. She loves this thing. She will try to play with all the toys and can also go around in circles in it already. I caught her chewing on the one chew toy. I should of known then that her teeth were coming through haha.

Leah's new trick

Leah has learned a new trick. She has been trying to sit up in this cow chair for a while now. Well, the past few days she's gotten adventurous and is now trying to get to her animals and eat them! I love it. It's the funniest thing to watch. She is getting to be so big!! She was wearing a dress today that fit Haley at 11 months. Yes, I have a huge 5 1/2 month old.

A flower for Daddy..and a cute baby

Haley loves to pick anything and everything to send to Daddy. She picks up grass, sticks, leaves, flowers..etc. She wants Daddy to enjoy everything that she does. I don't know if I had mention it to him recently, but she does this everytime we are outside. We once had an entire stroller full of things "to send to Daddy." I did send a few things, but most would be all crumply when he got them. I told her we will start pictures of the things and send them through email. She also likes to save some of her food to send to Daddy. It's normally 1 fruit snack or a bit of her cookies, or a slice of her apple. It's so cute. She misses him more then he knows I think. She is always drawing a picture for him or of him. We don't have much longer! Leah was looking so cute in her little swing..I must mention her cuteness :)

Recital Flowers

Here are all the fun flowers we got for recital. I love the one's Lyndsay got for Haley. They are the bright pink and white ones. So pretty! Dave's mom got us red carnations and 2 roses, white and red. Lyn also got the pink big flowers. I have no idea what they are though haha. I'm not a good flower person. Sorry the table is all messy..but there are flowers on there somewhere!

Haley's First Recital

Tonight was Haley's first Dance recital. It went better then I could of ever hoped for!! She danced all her dances! She just came alive tonight on stage. I was so proud of her. I had tears in my eyes every time I saw her up there dancing. She just loved it. I definitely bought the DVD so I can show Dave her awesome dance numbers. I didn't do as well, but honestly I didn't care. I was there to see Haley and she did so well. I just am so happy and proud of my little girl. Everything just turned out perfect, her hair, make-up and dancing. Even Leah! She was happy baby for 2 1/2 hours she was there. My brother even went to see Haley dance. I'm not sure how long he stayed a good 2 hours I think. I don't even remember him going to see me! haha Haley had so many people come to watch her...Aunt Lisa, Aunt Stacie, Miss Lyndsay, Grandma, Grandma Egner, Great Grandma Ronian and Great Grandpa Ronian, Paul, Erica and Aunt Val. Haley even got beautiful flowers from Lyndsay and Grandma Egner. I need to take a picture of her with them. Overall, great night!!

Dress Rehearshal

Wednesday night was Haley's first dress rehearshal. It went pretty well. She went on stage and waved to us and then stood there. She did very little dance, but at least she went on stage. I was proud of her for doing that. She just couldn't wait to go on stage though. She kept asking when it was her turn. She doesn't have stage fright that is for sure.

Haley's new snake

Haley got a snake a few days ago at Target. She insisted she needed this snake. Well, snake is now her new best friend. She carries him around everywhere. She also wants him to sleep with her, but I drew the line there. I let him sleep on the floor. He's this really rubbery material and it's pretty gross feeling. She even brought snake outside to play on the glider with her. Unfortunately, he fell off haha. All I can say, at least it's not a real snake!

Happy 5 Month's Leah!

Leah is 5 month's old today. Where has the time gone! She is such an extremely happy baby. I love her so much! Here is a few things that she is doing now:

She goes to bed about 9:30, wakes 1 time b/t 4-7 for a bottle, then back to sleep and wakes after 8 a.m.

She eats a little bit of cereal in the morning about an hour after being awake, then a 4 oz formula bottled.

She is awake and plays for about another hour to two hours, then naps for about an hour. That is her longest nap of the day.

She will then continue to nap 3 to 4 more times throughout the day. Whenever she feels like sleeping basically. It's normally about 3 hours she's awake then has a 30 to 40 minute cat nap. She'll sleep in the play pin or her crib. Whatever is easier for me at the time.

She takes a pacifier, but not all the time. She doesn't need it to sleep. I do give it to her if I want her to nap, and normally she'll spit it out after she falls asleep.

She eats bottles every 3 hours. She is now getting 3 formula and 3 breast milk bottles daily.

She has been rolling over from her back to her stomach for 3 weeks now, but only did it 1 time a week until last week. She now rolls from back to stomach all the time, then sometimes will roll back from stomach to back.

She's an extremely active baby. She's always kicking when changing her diaper.

She's eating 4 oz's formula bottle in the morning, 5 oz formula bottle for her night time bottle and middle of the night bottle, and 4 1/2 oz breast milk bottles during the day.

She's still is in size 1 diapers. Thinking we'll have to put her in size 2 soon, but as along as she can stay in the smaller diaper the better. You get way more in the size 1 diapers then 2 for your money.

She is now eating cereal in the morning and before bed. She has had rice, oatmeal (rash with this one), mixed and Cream of Wheat. She loves them all. She has no preference for any of them and will gobble all of them up.

I started her on fruit on May 24th with pears. She has now had pears, applesauce, and banana's. She loves them all to! I hope this continues. I will next do peaches, prunes and plums. Then start veggies! Can't wait to see her little face for those.

Sometimes she gets in this mood she doesn't want to be held for her bottle. It's very frustrating and I have to lay her down to feed her. She loves it though. When she's sleepy though she'll take her bottle like a baby.

She loves playing with her big sister. She looks at her and smiles and laughs all the time.

She loves So You Think You Can Dance. I will move the highchair into the family room and feed her cereal while it's on. She stares at it. I think she will be a dancer :)

Still not eyes color change..her eyes are blue as can be. I hope they stay that. :)

She loves her baby swing in on the swing set. She is so content outside and looking around. She always loves going on walks. I have never heard a peep out of her when we walk. She is just really happy baby outside.

Her size of clothes are varying. If they are big, she can still wear some 3-6 month stuff. But, mostly all of her clothes are 6-9 months, and sleepers vary to. I have had up to a 9 month sleeper on her recently. I had to dig out the bigger ones b/c she is so tall!! My poor baby will be in 12 month sleepers this summer and she'll be barely 6 months old!

I'll post a picture of her later! Enjoy little Leah's updates :)
