Dinner at Papa's and May May's
Last night we went over to Papa and May May's for dinner. It was so good!! Patty makes her own sauce, meatballs and works at a Italian speciality store where she gets homemade cavetelli's!! YUM!! She made turtle bars with carmel and chocolate chips for dessert! I was in heaven!! Better yet, Haley ate meatball, cavetelli's and bread. What a big girl she was. We had such a nice visit. We hadn't been over there for a while. So, it was nice to have a good meal and good conversation.
Motorcycle Mama!
Haley begged papa yesterday to ride his Harley. Papa keeping say she wants to ride my bike. Patty and I both said NOOOO!! So, I told Haley she may sit on his bike. She learned to turn on and off the radio on his bike in a few seconds. She loved sitting on it and didn't want to get off. I guess she's got Papa's motorcycle genes!

New "do"
Bird Nest
Haley and I were watering the two hanging baskets my mom and I had gotten for Mother's day. I took mine down and there was a cute little bird's nest in it. It was made so nicely. I wanted a picture of it with Haley. I had to take it out of my flowers though b/c I wanted to water them and for them to survive. They were pretty expensive. The bird's nest is still on the porch to. I haven't looked to see if there is a new one in there yet.

Swing set fun!
We played outside for over an hour today on the swing set. Haley has learned to push herself on the glider and also get on and off of it. That is her favorite thing on her new swing set. Leah LOVES the baby swing. Yesterday, she fell asleep in it! She is so perfectly content in this swing. It sits a little far up for her, but she is still so happy in it. Haley pushes her and makes sure her hat isn't over her eyes. I'm so glad we are getting use out of this swing set already. I love it! The weather was so nice out for Leah to be out, we went out again after Leah took a nap. Then again after dinner. I hope it continues to be nice to play outside the rest of the week.
Picnic
Haley had a fun little picnic with her animals before bedtime on Monday. I took this right before I left for my dance class. She has such an imagination on her. Today, she we put popcorn out for the birds before bath time. There was a bird that landed on the grass and she pretended to go get a bird book and look up what kind of bird it was. She's three!! She called it a wood pecker but it wasn't one. She learned what a wood pecker was at her Grandma Ronians when we saw one the last time we were there.

New Swing Set!!!
My mom bought Haley a new swing set on Friday. We have been talking about it for weeks now. Haley needed something to play with at my mom's outside. It's to hard for me to take both girls to the park by myself at Leah's age. So, she agreed to get the swing set. We will transport it to our house whenever we move back to Ohio. Uncle Sammy put it together for her yesterday while we were gone all day. Thanks Uncle Sam!! Haley swang, went on the glider and down the slide a few times last night until it got cold. It was chilly! She loves it though. I'm so happy that my mom got it for her. Thanks mom! We even have a baby swing for Leah. I can't wait to try it out with her when it's warmer.
Sisters
I really have been getting some nice pictures of the girls lately. Haley wanted to hold Leah and it just looked like she was half her size now! Leah is getting so darn big! She had a 9 month Carter sleeper on the other day. It fit her perfectly. I'm afraid she'll be in 12 months this summer when Dave comes home.
I started Leah on Mixed Cereal on Friday. I'm not sure exactly why they call it Mixed Cereal. I was trying to look at the ingredients but all I saw was wheat in it. I will be starting her on Cream of Wheat on Tuesday, or whenever I get it. Dr. Vlad said to do Cream of Wheat and skip the Oatmeal because she had a reaction to it. Then I will be start on fruits. I'm not sure which one to start her on though. I bought pears on Friday, but I still have to look to see which one I started Haley on. Does anyone have any suggestions? I know I did vegetables with Haley first, but I think I'm doing fruit first with Leah. Both of their Va and Ohio doctor said fruit first. I'm thinking anything to make Leah eat better then Haley haha. I'll do anything different! Leah's also been waking up during the night more. I've been super tired. She'll wake up at like 3 for her pacifier and then up about 5 or 6 for a bottle then sleep till about 8:30. Last night, she was very fussy going to bed. I'm not sure why it was. I still a tiny hint of white in her gums. I think the evil teeth are coming. I hope it breaks soon! We had a really fun weekend. I took Haley to my old studios dance recital with our niece Erica and we went to Applebee's for lunch. I wanted to show Haley what a dance recital was. It was really fun. I miss dance so much. Yesterday, we met up with my old college friends at Lisa's mom's house and visited so she could see Leah and Haley. Then went to Josh's birthday party (Haley's 2nd cousin's 2nd birthday and Dave's cousin Bob's son's). I hadn't seen the Egner cousin's yet since we were home so it was nice to visit with them. Leah loved Uncle Bob. Haley loved playing with all the kids. She even broke the Elmo Pinata! She was so excited. She got a green sucker and wanted it first thing. I can't believe how much she is a social butterfly when it comes to parties and especially cake. If their is cake, she's all about the party. She got this huge piece from Angie's mom while I was feeding Leah. (I didn't realize how big) she ate almost the entire thing!! She loves her cake and cookies. I hope everyone had a nice weekend!

A picture for Daddy
Well, I attempted to get a nice picture of the three of us for Dave. I had 4 shots to pick from but Leah was only looking in 1 of them. Then Haley was making a weird facial in that one. It's pretty amusing to take pictures anymore with our girls. Someone's always doing something funny. I thought they turned out cute though. Yesterday, was a really good day. Leah rolled over for the first time ;) She rolled from her back to her front. I was chatting with my mom on the phone and I said it looked like she was going to roll, and she did! It was so exciting especially since it happened on Dave's 30th bday :) Tonight she tired mixed cereal for the first time. It's alittle bit thicker then rice. She didn't do to bad. We'll do it again tomorow and see how she does.

Happy 30th Birthday Honey!!
Today's Dave's 30th Birthday! Unfortunately, he's on this ship, but he got our package right for his birthday. I was so excited! We sent him a chocolate chip cookie cake with M @ M's saying "Happy 30th Birthday Daddy." Then sugar cookies with "30" on them in different colored sprinkles. Also, suckers with "30" on them. Haley sent him a Buzzlight year pez and I sent him 2 movies the new James Bond and "Oh Brother where out though." He loves that movie! haha Oh, can't forget the can opener he wanted haha. I also sprinkled "30" confetti on in the box. I also sent random food to. I always send him food. He doesn't eat to well on the ship, so it's always a plus for him getting it. We also sent him cards. There was a Halmark card that sang "Hey Dellihla" and we got to record a message for him. That was my favorite part of the gift. He gets to hear our voices everyday now. There was a card from Haley and Leah, and Haley wrote both their names and Daddy on it. I hope he tries to have a good birthday on the ship. I know it will suck b/c he's there, but it's still his day! Please try to enjoy it honey. We love and miss you so much!!! Happy Birthday!!

4 month appt
I took Leah to her 4 month appt while my mom was able to take Haley to my grandpa's to watch him and her for me haha. We waited forever it seemed like in the little room which was super cold. I had her all wrapped up in blankets. She didn't like that to much. She's an active baby and I haven't wrapped her up and held her in blankets for about 2 months now. Anywho, here were her stats..14 lbs 3 oz's and 26 inches long. I don't know what her chest and head were, I'm not to concerned about that. The good thing is she gained 1 lbs in like 3 weeks :) She still haven't doubled her birth weight, but she's doing good. She also got two shots one in each leg, but they were combination ones so that was good. She also got the rotovirus oral thing that she drank. She drank it right up to haha. She didn't cry for the first shot, but the second one she screamed. She hasn't had a fever yet, but she was cranky last night. I was scared at one point b/c she was crying uncontrollably for like 5 minutes. I finally got her to sleep and she was find after she woke up. I think it was a combination of the shots, being tired and not feeling well. I think her little thighs are sore from those nasty injections. She was a trooper though. I didn't give Tylenol to her b/c she didn't come down with a fever. I'm just not one to give medicine if not needed. If she is fussy today though, I might give it to her. It's hard making these decisions on your own. My mom is gone for three days and has other things to worry about. I wish I could talk to Dave about these things. Email it is though. These pictures are from a few days ago. Haley wanted Leah to have a picture with pig, so I started to take them with both of them. Then Leah wanted to eat pig. It was just really funny :)

Double Stroller
So, I decided to purchase a double stroller on craigslist last week. It was $30. It was in pretty good shape, but I had to wash it up and sanitize if of course. I tried to walk the girls around the culd a sac last week, but it's hard to turn b/c of Haley's weight in the front. I think I can still walk with it, but just not turn to much haha. I thought it was a great deal. They only lived on Celestial to! Haley absoutely loved it, and Leah really enjoyed the ride laying back and looking around. I have been waiting for the weather to break here and get a bit warmer for Leah to be out and not rain.

My sleeping little girl
Outside
There pictures are from last weekend. It was so nice I had the girls out everyday playing on the driveway or in the yard. Haley has mastered how to ride her tricycle and her little yellow and red bike. We are still working on the big girl bike. Leah had a ball just laying in the stroller watching her big sister play. She has two new toys I forgot to mention that she loves. They are the Pooh Bear blankets. Dave's sister Val got her the pink one with the pooh head, and then Gina got Haley the yellow with the pooh head when she was a baby. Leah just loves to look at them and eat them haha. It's a fun toy for her to entertain herself while I'm trying to play with Haley and watch her at the same time.
On the side yard Haley and I played scavenger hunt. I had to her go get different things in the yard like "3 brown leafs or 5 pieces of grass." She loved it. It was something for her to do to run around. I've been trying to convince mom that Haley "really" needs a swing set. I have been seeing some super cheap ones pop up in the sale adds. I was kind of hoping she's get the hint and buy one for her, so then I could put a baby swing on it for Leah. It would be really fun to have one for the girls so I can entertain them both at the same time.

4 months old
Leah is 4 months old today. Where has the time gone? She is getting such a big baby now. She is been officially in 3-6 month clothes for some time now. She is even wearing some 6-9 month clothes and sleepers. She is so long which puts some 3-6 months sleepers to be to small now. I have to go through her closet pretty soon and take out some of the short 3-6 month sleepers. She is still taking rice cereal 1 time a day a night. I tried oatmeal with her on Tuesday for the first time and she seemed to take to it better. Well, she woke up with a little rash on her face. I though well maybe she just was slobbering while sleeping, but again on Weds she woke up with the same thing. So, I have stopped oatmeal for now. I think I will try it again in a month or so. Unfortunately, rice has to do for her right now. I put her in the highchair for the first time tonight. I thought it would be easier to feed her in. She looks so small in it!
I have had to give her apple juice again last Sunday b/c she was going on 5 days without a poop. 2 hours later, she pooped on me haha. What fun! She's been waking up a night for the last few weeks. It's actually after I moved her bedtime back to 10pm. Leah loves to talk herself to sleep. She just goes 'ahh ahh ahh" then all of sudden passes out. She has been lying on her back and almost rolling over. She can roll to each side and a few days ago learned to sleep on her sides. It's amazing how much she's learning already. I'm not sure how everyone gets there baby to sleep so early. I think I guess I need pointers or something. She just won't go to sleep early. I think I'm going to keep it at 10, then move it back to 9:30 , then 9 then 8:30 when Haley goes to bed. That way I can have some ME time eventually. Anyway, Leah's been sleeping from 10 to about average time 6am, bottle then sleeping till about 8:30-9. But, there's been off nights where she's woke at 3:30 or 4 am and I put the pacifier in her mouth and then again at like 5:30, and bottle at 6:30. I just don't know what happened to my sleeping baby. I hope I didn't jinx it. This is NO where near what Haley was doing though at this age. She was taking like 2 to 3 bottles during the night. That equaled very little sleep. I feel like I have been getting very little sleep, but somehow managing with two kids on my own for the most part. I think it's pretty funny that I came to Ohio for the company and help to live with mom, and now I'm on my own. Mom has been staying with my grandpa every two nights, so she's home for two, then gone for two. Even when she's home, she's gone most of the day with my grandma at the hospital, now nursing home. Hopefully, things will be settling down soon.
Having Biscuit not here has been really hard. There are so many things that remind me of her. Since I have been here just with the girls, I haven't really gotten to talk to much about her. I keep seeing her ball outside by the pool. She loved to run around with this deflated ball around the pool. I see it every time I look out the kitchen window. It's just sad. It's been a really rough month. I'm so glad April is over and May is here. Hopefully, it will bring good news and good things.
PS. I just took a picture of Leah's weird sleeping position now. Ding Dong me, I woke her up with the flash. Opps! I think she's back to sleep though.
