Bye Hernedez's!

On Saturday, I found out my friend Berendette and her family were moving back to Texas. Her husband Frank got tiered and is now offically out of the Navy. I was so sad!!! I hadn't talked to her in over a month and we usually hang out every couple of weeks. We would always have dinner at each other's house or go to the beach and make a day out of it when the boys are gone. They have three wonderful teenage daugthers. She was my first friend I met in Va. Before I even really knew her, I had to have her watch Haley for me when Dave had emergency surgery. I knew there we would be really good friends. She didn't mind a bit watching her and Haley LOVES the girls. We had them over for dinner on Saturday night, and hung out afterwards. I went over on Sunday and went through their kids movies again. She had given us 20 Disney movies in like July and gave me like 10 more when on sunday. Our Disney collection is awesome now! I just went over today for the last time. I feel so sad b/c I'm going to miss them so much!! Good luck guys!! We'll miss you! :)

Haley and silliness

Okay, this video is of Haley be just really silly. I have been telling everyone how crazy she is. It doesn't capture everything but a few silly moments. She does know how to count. She is always mixing up the numbers and then saying them right. I'm not just saying she does know how to do it. haha I love my silly girl :)

Warm weather

Yesterday it was like 75 degree's out. It was so nice. Haley, Emily and I took a nice walk on the street. I watched Emiy for Lin b/c John was working b/c she had to work early. We all had fun time. The girls got a long great! I was so happy about that. There age is a difficult age. They are starting to understand things but still don't really understand at the same time. They got use to each other and sharing toys, but we still have moments. But, yesterday, I had to tell Haley and Emily no maybe once or twice. It was great. After Emily left, Haley didn't want to lay down for her nap, so I let her play outside for while. She loved it. Jersey was right in on the fun to. Oh, she has a really styling belt on in the first pictures. Our neighbor Michelle gave it to her. I kept telling her out Haley's pants fall down like crazy! Thanks Michelle!!

Tigger Tatoo!

Dave found these tigger tatoo's that were in the junk drawer for who knows how long. He decided to put on on himself and then gave Haley one. She was so excited. The next morning I came into get her and she had her pants off b/c she was trying to find the tigger tatoo haha.

Tricycle!

Haley learned to ride her tricycle last week. I keep it in the kitchen so it doesn't get all yucky outside. I was cooking and turned around and she was pedaling on it! I was so excited. So now, she goes on it and pedals around the kitchen. Today, Barbie had to go for a ride. She has been playing with her Barbies all the time now. She just loves them. She puts them in the shopping cart or stroller and gives the a ride. I was thinking to Dave last night that I might get her a Barbie car for Christmas. I think she would really like it.

Silly Haley

Haley decided the other night to put her princess bucket on her head. I have no idea why, but she kept saying "Picture, mommy, picture!" So, here it is! She's a strange one sometimes, but I love it! Her 2 year old imagination is awesome! I can't believe how she plays already with her babies, dollhouse and barbies. She makes up things. She plays with her dollhouse all the time making up things talking with them. We gave her the little princesses from her birthday cake to play with and she plays with them in her dollhouse. What a cute idea!

A mess!

Thursday I had a dr's appt and had Kim watch Haley. Well, Dave called and said he was on his way home probably like 1/2 hour after my appt. I left Kims and came home. Well a weird light came in my car on the dashboard, so I determined to see what it was. I couldn't find my van book in my car so I had to look for it. So, I told Dave who was relaxing in the recliner to watch Haley while she watched Dora and was eating her yogurt. I was upstairs about 20 minutes trying to find this book, which I couldn't find. Anyway, I come downstairs and Dave is a sleep in the chair and thsi is what Haley looks like. She had yogurt everywhere! Normally, I really try to keep her clean while she eats. She is slowly but surely wanting to do things herself. Thank the lord finally! She normally takes like three bites herself and then wants me to do it. It's a very frustrating process, but it's easier then fighting her and her not eating. I just end up feeding her. At least, she tries. That is my theory. Dave got a little scolding when I came down. I was a little upset he fell asleep. He's very notorious for doing that. I wish I had his sleeping ability. I sure don't. I can't take naps. I just lay down for like 1/2 hour and never fall asleep. I really hope Haley gets Dave's napping ability not mine!

Go Buckeyes!

Go Buckeyes! We have been trying to teach Haley now to say "Go Buckeye's!" She is hilarious because she still wants to say "Go Indians!" I thought this was a really fun picture. I never get to capture her crazy self and finally I did!! She's such a happy and very talkative little girl. She is always talking. I had problems with the van AGAIN and had to go pick Dave up from the car place. Well, the entire time there she was talking up a storm. It's either looking for pumpkins, she points out he moon, she points out balloons, and she counts everything she see's. It's hilarious when she starts to count. 90% of the time it's 1-20 (skipping 16). Well, she starts going 1,2,3,4,5,10, 12,18,20! She gets so excited. Dave and I just can't keep it in and laugh. We do correct her most of the time, but it's so cute! IF we are stopped at a red light we tell her to count the red lights and tell us the colors on the lights. It's just something fun she loves to do and it's really helping her counting. She still is doing great with colors. She has known all the basic ones for a while, brown, blue, green, white, black, purple, yellow, orange, and pink. I'm very thankful for how fast she catches on. We are still trying to get her to say "milk" right though haha.

Haircut

Haley had a little bit of a hair cut on weds. Since we were getting her pictures done, I needed to decide what to do with her bangs. So, the census (Dave and I) were to cut them again. It's kind of a pain to keep cutting them but her hair is a a crazy stage of trying to grow, that it's probably better to have them. When she's about 4 or so, we'll decide bangs or no bangs. She thinks a hair cut is so fun! I didn't do it really traditionally. I just sat her in Dave's recliner and had her look at a book and watch her shows. I think I did a good job, until Dave comes home and says they weren't straight. So, I had to cut a little bit more. They ended up pretty good though. I didn't give her as many as I did the last couple of times. When we were home last time, my grandpa (who doesn't say much now) said she needed a hair cut haha. This is for grandpa!

Pictures..and long week.

It's been a long week for us. I haven't posted in over a week, b/c we have been so busy with various things. We had Haley's flu shot on Tuesday. Weds I did a lot of running around. Thursday I had a doctor's appt, and Haley stayed with my friend Kim. I was worried she would get upset and cry for me. She didn't! I was so happy she did very well. She loves Kim and Hannah. Today, we did her Christmas pictures. It was a nightmare! We got there early and they were way behind. Haley was in a great mood when we got there, but an hour and 20 minutes later she wasn't. It was ridiculous. We got like 2 good pictures. She was only smiling in 1. I was pretty upset, but what can we do. She's only 2 ya know. So, we ordered what we could. I might try again maybe when we go to Ohio. I don't know. It was cheap though. We ordered a lot for only $35. We went to JC Penney's. It was a long day. We also had our maintance guy come out after a week of calling them to come fill holes and fix some piping. He filled the holes, not sure if that will stop the mice.

These pictures were from last weekend. We had gone shopping for Christmas and came home and Dave was reading to Haley the Potty book. I can't believe this potty book even is on DVD. It's crazy. When I first read it, I was like WHAT! Haley was only like 7 months old or something haha. It took me by surprise, but this is one of her favorite books. She can basically recite this book back by memory. Her favorite part is when she says "and sat and sat and sat on the potty." haha. Also, when she names all her "useful parts." She has Dave or I read this everyday like at least 3 times a day.

Haley has been doing wonderful with her counting. I'm totally amazed. She can count to 20 now. She skips 16 but, that's not that important of a number until your like 13 or so haha. She's knows most of her sounds and has known all her ABC's for a couple of months now. She amazes me everyday. Her talking has improved so much. She puts all these little sentences together all the time. She is now even talking on the phone to people. She started about two weeks ago talking to my mom. I'm so glad to. We never see any friends or family so it's nice she is starting to communicate with them. She thinks they can see her through the phone though and always shows them her toys. She's caught a little cold at the pictures today. It started while we were waiting. I'm hoping it's not going to get worse. I gave her a dose of some cold medicine and will put the humidifier in her room tonight. It was like 75 on Weds and dropped down to 55 yesterday. So, I see why she might have the sniffles. That's all for now!

Tutu Tutu

Haley got this outfit for her birthday from her Great Grandma and Great Grandpa Ronian. I love it! She saw it and went "tutu" to the skirt. Seriously, how does she know what tutu is? She is so funny about hoods. She loves them. She loves hats to. I love the picture with her hood up. She was trying to stand there for the picture to flash haha.

Christmas Dress

Weds Haley and I went shopping for her Christmas dress. I love it!! I got a 3 t just in case she grew a bit before Christmas. I'm glad I did to. It fits her really well. It's a kind of long and big in the waist area, but other then that, it's perfect! I'll be getting her Christmas pictures done soon. I wish Brit could to them, but there is no way we could go to Columbus while were home. I'm sorry Brit!!

Houseguests, timechange and more

Well, as some of you know, my week didn't start out to be the best one. Sunday we caught the 2nd mouse in our house. I haven't posted anything about it, but I'm absoutely disgusted about the whole thing. My realtor people won't do anything, so Dave and my neighbor Pete have tried to do things to prevent these small rodents from coming in. I believe we have mouse number three in the house now. I haven't seen it but I know he's been eating the posion under the stove. Anyway..enough about that...

Sunday Lindsay and I were suppose to get together to scrapbook. She called me a couple of hours before hand and told me her apartment had flooded! Raw sewage came up in both of her bathroom toliets and bathtubs. It went all the way in half of Emily's room. She was beyhond digusted and very mad. The apartment people were doing nothing to correct the problem. I offered for her to stay with us until it got straighten out. Dave and Jon are out to see, so it was just us girl and Riddick. Riddick is their dog. He is VERY hyper for being 3 or 4 years old. The visit was kind of like a big sleepover. haha. There were moments with the girls and dogs that we had to interven. Emily is very attached to her baby doll and wouldn't let Haley even touch it. We had to work with that situation. Haley of course had her moment to. But, it went pretty well. Haley had to take a bath with Emily Sunday night. Lindsay mentioned bath and Haley's like "bye mommy!" and starts running upstairs. These pictures are just random pictures I took throughout the last three days. I watched Emily for her while she went to the apartment to straighten out things. It took her calling the channel ten news to get something going about the apartment. They came and cleaned the carpet and just the bathtubs. THey didn't replace the cushion underneath. So, now they are replacing both carpet and cushion. Lindsay cleaned all her apartment. She is still meeting with legal just in case. UG, it was just a mess. I'm glad I was there to help her out. Oh yes, to make matters worse, Haley did not adjust to this new timechange well. She has woke up at 6:15 Monday and Tues, and 6:45 today. Sunday, the day I forgot to change the clocks, was the only day she slept till 7. Ug, it's been very tiring. Also, we went shopping today and Haley fell asleep in the car, but I laid her down, and she's not sleeping. NOt a good sign. She'll be a crankball tonight. Yeah me!! :)

9 Years Today...

It's hard to believe but my dad has been gone for 9 years today. The day always creeps up on me every year. I just thought I would write a little bit about that today. I wish my dad could see Haley. Some people think he can, but I don't know. I miss my dad. I wish he was here to see Haley and to see Jersey. He would of loved them both. Biscuit would of drove my dad nuts. haha. Haley has pointed to an old pictures of the four of us when I was like 6 and said "papa" before. It's weird, maybe she knows who he is? But how? I don't mention him a lot, but I do mention him to her. It's to hard to explain exactly people who have died to a two year old. Life is so different then it was back then. I was only 18. I had barely lived my life yet. The one thing that I'm glad my dad got to see is the Indian's go to the World Series 3 times in his lifetime. Not win of course, but at least he got to see them once. We could never watch the games in the same room b/c it was bad luck! Especially in the family room, it would jinx them to lose back in 95-97. Geez, that sounds like it was decades ago. I'm not much to talk about my dad and his illnesses he had. I just wanted to take a moment on his grandaughter's blog to remember him. I miss you Dad and love you.

Happy Halloween

Okay, Halloween didn't start off to good for Haley and I. Haley woke up in the middle of the night from 1-4. She just wouldn't go to sleep. So, mommy aka me, was a zobbie all day. I even had to fight with her for her nap. It was terrible. I did get her down at 3:30 and she was able to sleep a little after 5. I knew it was going to be hard to get her up so I brought Emily up with me to soften the explosion haha. Haley is very crabby when woke up. She's just like her daddy! Emily kept saying to Haley "Haley Wake.......UP!" There was a long pause b/c wake and up. It's was very cute. Haley was cranky and was scared b/c we had Lindsay and Jon and Beth, Dave and Ellie over for trick or treat. She wasn't expecting all the people. She seemed to lightened up once we got her costume on and we stepped out the door. I snapped the first picture so fast b/c I knew I probably wouldn't get a good one other then this. Trick or Treat went surprisingly well. We pulled Haley in the wagon. Emily was in her's. Ellie took turn in ours and Emily's but was mainly carried. Haley was a pumpkin, Emily a devil and Ellie was a kangaroo. All the girls did very good. Haley was scared of some people (mainly men) and wanted to be carried 50% of the time. Emily ran right up to the houses and grabbed candy with her hands and tried to get more out of the people haha. It was hilarious. Us parents, we had a great time. Dave went with us up our street, then ran to hand out candy at the house, then ran and caught up with us after maybe 1/2 hour. He was so afriad our house was going to get egged if we didn't hand out candy. That is my husband for you. The girls last about and hour and half. I think we techincally started earlier then 6 oh well! Haley got pretty tired by around 7 o'clock. She laid in the wagon. That's the last picture. It was hilarious. Oh, the one of Jon and Lindsay cracks me up. I kept offering to pull all the "parents" in the wagon. Jon decides to see if his wagon can hold him. Lindsay's like this is our Christmas picture, but we need Emily haha.

We gave Haley 1 kit kat last night. She wanted it so bad. I don't plan on giving her really anything else. Maybe a bite here and there. Brit, that was a good idea to switch out the candy. I'm happy with all the candy Haley got, b/c Dave and I can eat it haha. Happy Halloween everyone!!!

Mount Trashmore walk

On tuesday I got this brillant idea that Lindsay and I should go walking with the girls. I decided that Mount Trashmore was the place I wanted to try. It's a landfill turned into a park. It's huge! It's actually really nice. It's got very smooth walking path. The girls were wonderful on the walk. They did great. They just sat there and enjoyed it. Lindsay and I huffed and puffed through just 1 1/2 miles. It certinally seemed longer then that. I was pooped by the time we hit the playground where we started. Haley decided to explore while Emily was perfectly content just playing with her stroller. I got to walk around with Haley in the castle playground. She's not to adventureous (thank GOd) so she really just went up a few steps and then would come down. We did see the swings and pursuaded Emily she needed to swing. Haley picked the awkward most swing. I think it was a handicapped swing, b/c she kept falling forward on it and it was shapped weird. She had to swing in the red one though. It was a great morning adventure. I defintely want to try that again. I really should do it more on a normal basis.
