Family Christmas Pictures
We took a few family pictures once we came home from Matt's on Christmas Night. I love the picture of Dave and Haley. It might be one of my favorite ones of them. We also tried out my timer on my new camera for our family picture. Dave had to kneel down a bit. I had to also take one of Jersey Girl.
Christmas Dinner
We went over Dave's friends Matt's for Christmas Dinner this year. It was about an hour and 15 minutes away from us in the country. It was a lonnnngg drive. It was a fun time though. We had ham, potatoes, stuffing, corn etc. Then had Pumpkin cheesecake for dessert. Haley had another 3 year old to play with named Aubrey. She is a little bit older then her by like 6 months, but they seemed pretty much on the same level. She had a little brother named Conner that Haley loved! She loves babies. He is 11 months. They played the entire time we were there. Made my life easier haha.
Presents!!
Haley got a ton of presents this year from Santa and from us. To name a few, she got Snow White and Cindrella little dress up dolls. She plays with them ALL day long! She got a 5 in 1 easel thing that has wipey markers, crayons, magnetics and paints. She got a Mermaid playset from us, Cootie Game and the Fishing game. She loves the fishing game. It's kind of hard for her but she keeps trying to get those fish. Even though we weren't at home we made Christmas morning memorable for doing our own thing at our house. Dave got me a new Kodak Digital Camera and a $50 Kohl's gift card! I'm so excited to go shopping after I have Leah. I actually got 2 more Kohl's gift cards and they are just burning in my pocket right now haha. I got Dave a ton of things..3 cd's, 2 DS Mario games, clothes etc. Haley got him a Redskins Hat. He had a good Christmas to haha.
Christmas Morning
Christmas Eve continued
Sorry, I haven't updated the blog from past Christmas Eve. I have not been feeling well since Saturday. No signs of labor, but just feeling really crappy I guess the right word is to say. I feel like I'm getting a cold on top of being 38 weeks pregnant. Yuck! Anyway, on Christmas Eve before we put Haley to bed we put out the reindeer food for the reindeers. My neighbor Carolyn came up with the idea and made some for Haley when she was babysitting her two weeks ago. It's a great idea! She left the food so the reindeers know where to go on Christmas Eve. She had so much fun leaving it out for them. She also drew Santa 2 pictures and he took them when he came.

Christmas Eve night
We weren't really sure what we were going to do on Christmas Eve night. We decided to get showers and all dressed up but no where to go. So, we went to Chili's for dinner and decided to drive around the neighborhoods and look at Christmas lights. They were so nice! It turned out to be alot of fun. Then we came home and decided to open up my mom's presents she had sent us. We usually open up Dave's dad's stuff on Christmas Eve. Haley went first. She got small things from my mom. A play wedding dress, an ornament, a snowmen stuffed animal. My mom likes to put money in Haley's college fun for her birthday and Christmas b/c she gets her so much throughout the year. My mom got Dave a hair trimmer and a best buy gift card. Then I got Season 3 of 90210, a couple pairs of earrings, Kohl's gift card and some money. I was so excited for 90210. I have season's 1 and 2 already and have been looking forward to the 3rd one. I thought when I'm up in the middle of the night with the baby when she can't sleep, I can watch it :) It's some relaxing at least for me. We all enjoyed our gifts. Thanks mom! Haley wears her wedding dress for hours it seems like. She loves it!
Christmas Cookies
Haley and I made Christmas cookies this year on Christmas Eve in the morning/afternoon. I wanted to do something Christmasy on Christmas Eve. We normal go to Dave's dad's in the evening and have a crazy kid filled running around time there, but that wasn't going to happen this year. So, Haley and I made some yummy sugar cookies and chocolate chip ones. We cut out the shapes of angel, Christmas tree, stockings, candy canes, and snowman. Then we decorated them. It was a lot of fun. This was only my second time making Christmas cookies and Haley's to actually. We made them when Dave was on deployment Christmas of 2006. Haley has such a sweet tooth that she loved them then to! If I have anytime I will try to find the pictures from that Christmas. Haley had 3 cookies that day haha. I thought she deserved them though. She was such a big help and had a really fun time. I had a few myself to :) It was a little ironic while we were making cookies, my friend Kim brought over a huge tin of cookies for us. She didn't think I would be up to making them and I told her I wasn't, but thought I should. Then that evening my neighbor Michelle brought over more cookies for us haha. So, we have plenty of cookies and of course Haley and I have been eating them.

Santa visit

Haley went and saw Santa at the mall yesterday. She loved it! We waited for a good hour and we were hoping she would be okay to sit on his lap. She went right up to him and got on his lap. She told him that she wanted that huge Biscuit puppy and a few other things. Unfortunately, we can't get her that Biscuit puppy b/c it's $150, but I hope she's happy with the other stuff she gets. I think this picture came out great. She was smiling so nicely.

Christmas Vacation
Today was the start of Dave's 10 days of leave. Yeah! He worked today, but then he is off until Jan 2nd. It's been about 6 months since he has had a vacation so he's defintely due. We are going to get a lot accomplished when he's off this time around. Since we can't go home, we are going to start packing and just getting ready for this deployment and oh yes, the baby haha. I'm so happy to have him home for 10 straight days. We watched National Lampoon's Christmas vacation and Dave and Haley were dancing to the songs. He's gonna kill me that I posted this but oh well! It's funny! :)
New Shirts
Haley has been wearing her new Christmas/winter shirts the last few days. Dave's Uncle Dale set her a nice visa gift card and I have bought her a few new shirts with it. I think we are going to spend most of it on clothes and things she needs. Her pink shirt say's "There's snowone like dad" that is from Old Navy. The other one I have been waiting for clearance marked down at Target and it has snowflakes on it. I love them both. She actually has another one but we are going to save that one for Christmas this year. I don't think she's going to be dressed up in a Christmas dress b/c we aren't around family this year. She'll still look cute though :)
Merry go Round
On Sunday, we walked around the mall and Haley got to ride the Merry Go Round. She was all excited to ride it and Dave stood next to her. It went around maybe twice and then she started to get scared. I think she thought it might go slower or something. It was going pretty fast. She actually started to cry. I felt so bad for her. The lady kept saying only 1 minute. It felt like a really long minute. She was happy though afterward she got a horse stamp. It was a really nice one. I don't think we'll be taking her on the merry go round anytime soon.
Haley Baby her first year...
I don't know why I decided to be sentimental today. I really wanted to see Haley's baby pictures and decided to post some on the blog for everyone to see. I know some people probably haven't seen some of these, but some of them might actually be back on the blog in earlier post in 2006. I tried to get on from each month..but they are kind of messed up. Enjoy..I'll try to do after 1 years old the next time. :)
